Not sure if I'm posting this on the right site or not, but here goes.

1. Did you guys see the Pirates movie yet? I did and I absolutely have to see it again!!! It was great!!!

2. How many attraction references did you see? I found several.

Here's where I need the help. Is there anyone with STARZ! & E! that could record a couple of Pirates things for me??? I would definitely pay for the video tape and shipping.

There is a "Behind the Scenes" special on E! on Monday, July 14th from 3:30AM-4:00AM.

The other is "On the Set" on STARZ on Tuesday, July 15th from 10-10:30AM.

Can anybody help me??????

I loved the references to the ride, I just wish they had the phrase "fire at will". Whenever my husband and I watch our tapes from vacation, we say "poor Will".

I thought the movie was fantastic. I know of at least five references to the attraction (I'm sure there's more):

1) The song.

2) The redhead that punches Jack Sparrow in Tortuga looks like the "we wants the redhead" AA from the attraction.

3) The jail scene with the dog - and a great line from Johnny Depp. Classic.

4) The drunk guy with the pigs.

5) The skeletons drinking rum.

Hope this helps.

Don't forget the parrot saying "Dead men tell no tales". Doesn't the parrot right at the entrance to PotC say the same thing?!

I don't think it's the parrot that says that on the ride. It's more of a ghostly sounding voice.

In WDW, it's the skull and crossbones to the upper left of the boat just prior to the drop. I think.

to the ride was when Jack and Elizabeth are on the island and have had a bit too much rum. Elizabeth has taught Jack the Yo Ho song and he says, something like, "I love this song! When I get back to the ship I'm going to teach it to everyone! We'll sing it all the time!"

I don't think anyone else in the theater where we saw it had been on the ride. We were the only ones laughing at those parts.
How sad...:(

There was another reference to the ride. The scene where Jack and Will are travelling in the small dingy boat they pass a skeleton lying on its chest with a sword in its back along with a crab next to it, that scene is in the ride right before the pirate skeleton steering the wrecked ship in the storm.

I'm going to move this over to the community board for you :-)

ME TOO, Hunny Pots! The guy sitting next to me looked at me kind of funny because I was cracking up so much.

I'm glad someone else noticed the crab, too! I thought that was pretty cool. And is it just me, or did the guys in the dog/keys scene REALLY look like the ones on the ride?

WOW!

And lol at the "Fire at Will"- I hadn't ever thought of that!

I looked online and the STARZ! one is being shown once more on Tuesday, July 22 from 5:45-6:15am.

Did anyone happen to tape these specials and be willing to make a copy??? Like I said, I would pay for the tape and the shipping.

ANYBODY?????
:(

I'd like to see that, too. Sorry. I don't get STARZ. :(

Did anyone tape these specials?? Can anyone help me here??? :(

Going to give this one more try.

Did anyone happen to tape the 2 specials on the Pirates movie on E! and STARZ! and be willing to make a copy?? I will pay for the cost of the tape and shipping.

Can anyone help me???
