Pirates at Shanghai

The affect where you go under water and then back up at the end into a pirate war is pretty amazing even if it is screens, it looks immersive and accompanied by sea spray and sound looks pretty incredible!

I would love to see a tron ride come here.. I doubt it ever will but would be awesome at epcot or dhs

This makes me want to go on the whirl wind Disney/East trip for my honeymoon after all! My fiance and I originally wanted to do Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Shanghai with a 3-4 days in each stop but everyone told us we would want to go somewhere relaxing so we switch to Hawaii.

I love that they aren't just the same rides as we have. I think it is something Disney needs to do to drive people to visit more than just one park. Make incredible experiences that are unique to that one park and people will travel to all of them instead of just one. This park actually has to be different than any of the others because China didn't grow up with Main Street USA nor did they grow up seeing rides like POTC. They know Pirates from the movies. So it makes perfect sense that this pirates is based heavily on the movies.

That ship exploding scene at the end...so brilliant! Brilliant use of the video, excellent use of space, the outstanding staging sort of builds anticipation at what is come, and then it happens!

I say go to Asia! DH and I went to a bunch of different countries before we got married (and a few on our honeymoon), and don't regret a thing! We had a great time on our "adventurous" (non-relaxing) honeymoon, EVERYONE is jealous that we got to go, and we'd be hard pressed to do something like that now that we have little ones. Although, I would have a hard time only spending 3-4 days in each of those places.

Makes me jealous that I constantly viewing other Disney parks has more spectacular effects, more amazing rides attractions over WDW!!!!!
