August 11th - P&P Party for DD's 8th Birthday - Stayed at BCV 2 Bedroom
We woke up on Saturday ready to go. But first, DD had to open her gifts because we weren't dragging those to Disney with us. We left the house just after 9 and after a quick stop at BK for breakfast, we made it to the Beach Club Villas by 10:30. We got lucky and our room was available. We just had time to put our stuff in the room before heading for the bus. After waiting 20 minutes, we realized we'd never make our BBB appointment if we didn't drive. The bus system at BCV is a little slow, and the DTD bus stopped by TL. The rest of our group got to BBB before us and checked us all in. We got there at 12:15 for a 12:30 appointment. We finally got our group of 5 girls in by 12:45. DD was getting the full package. She chose Belle for her costume with the Disney Diva style for her hair. The rest of the group chose the Fairy Tale princess buns. It took about an hour to get all the girls done. Next it was off for our photo session. I put the baby in her costume while we waited. She was so cute toddling around in her Tinkerbell outfit!
We had DD's pics done, both DD's, then the whole group. Then each mom got their girls done. I felt a little bad for the people who got in line behind our huge group. Once pictures were done, the whole group headed back to our room for a surprise. I ordered a cake and ballons to be delivered to the room.
DD was so happy when she walked in and saw the cake, hats, and party favors sitting on the table. The cake was very yummy! We grabbed a late lunch at the Marketplace then finally headed off for the bus around 5 p.m.. There was no wait to get into the MK. We luckily ran into another family we were supposed to meet there. We grabbed strollers so the girls didn't have to walk so much in those princess shoes. Our first stop, the Dole Whip stand. It was horribly hot and it was just before 6! Next, we headed to the Pirates ride. By the time we finished that, it was officially time for the party and the crowds were gone. We jumped on Aladdin's Carpet Ride then made a bathroom break. That's when the clouds opened up. We ran through covered areas to Peter Pan. We jumped right on, then ran over and jumped on IASW. We made stops for treasure throughout the night. Next we did the Teacups, a long wait for the Princesses, then 2 quick rides on the Barnstormer. It was about 9 and we hadn't eaten dinner so we headed to Cosmic Rays. Bad timing, we missed the fireworks.
The baby fell asleep so the kids headed to Space Mountain. They rode twice in a row, because what other time can you do that? It was about 11 by then, so we decided to do the Monster's Inc. Laugh Floor because most of the group had never done it before. DH stayed back with the sleeping baby this time. We had a great time. My friends DH was "That Guy." The kids are still having fun with that one! We headed back to the bus and I managed to get a seat with the sleeping baby. Though again, I was amazed at how many people either let their kid that was small enough to lap sit have their own seat or others not get up for people carrying sleeping/sleepy children. We got back to the room and got all the Princesses out of their gowns and their up-do's. They all finally conked out by 1:30 a.m..

The girls woke up about 8. I was smart and laid out Pop Tarts for them to feed themselves so the rest of us got to sleep until about 9. By the time we were all ready, it was almost lunch time. So we headed to Beaches and Cream. For a group our size, the wait was an hour so we went back to the room to get ready for the pool. By the time we were ready for the pool, it was time to eat at B&C. Important note: Never show a kid an amazing pool then think they'd want ice cream instead. The food was good, but the kids kept begging to leave to swim. Finally, the Kitchen Sink came out. Boy was it yummy! We had 13 people and still had some left. (Another note: don't eat lunch before the Sink.) Finally, it was time to swim. We got our arm bands and the kids headed to the pool, while I took the baby up for a nap. DH relieved me after an hour so I got to enjoy the pool and a nice fruity drink. We got back to the room after 5, and the baby was still asleep! We headed to Chevy's for dinner then back to the room to see if we could watch fireworks from the balcony. We had a great view of Epcot, but we were just a bit too far to see the show. We did see a bit of MK's fireworks though! We got the kids down by 10 by promising a morning at the pool.

We ate a quick breakfast in the room, packed up, then headed for the pool. We rented some tubes to float around the lazy river. We put the baby in a small baby floatie. We all took turns between the floats and the slide. I even went down the little slide with the baby a few times. She loved it! Stormalong Bay is so amazing. Even though the 2 bedroom wasn't as big or great as some of the others we've stayed in, the pool and resort activities more than made up for it. Finally, it was about lunch time and we had to go home. As we left, we ran into Lilo and stitch in the lobby. The kids played a quick follow the leader, hula lesson, then hula hoops before taking off. We had lunch at the McD's on site, then headed for home. My DD said she had wished on her cake that she would have a great birthday, and her wish came true! So even though we were exhausted, it was all worth it. I can't wait to go back to BCV.
