Pirates and Princess Party 2009???

Does anyone know if there will be a PNP this year. I would love it (oh yeah, and so woudl my DD).

I loved going to that Aug. 07 I wish they would bring it back. We are going to be there the end of Jan. and would love to be able to go again. I bet IF they bring it back...it will be in March or April maybe. Seems even Disney is feeling the crunch.

They are currently NOT happening according to the Disney Mom's Panel. Also, I understand that people who were able to purchase tickets (special for some charity run) for P&PP have been given refunds. Sorry

The P&PPs were announced for 2009 and then later canceled.

If you believe the rumor mill, they have never been a wholly profitable venture for Disney. Some nights have met Disney's expectations, but others have fallen well short.

Disney was trying different scheduling options to try and find something that really clicked with guests. After their big investment in parade floats, custom fireworks show, etc., they wanted to find something that worked. But with crowd levels and guest spending expected to decline in 2009, they decided this wasn't the right time to continue throwing good money after bad.

It is a shame it wasn't profitable for disney. I guess it didn't have as mass appeal as the Christmas and Halloween party nights.
We did P&P Night in Feb 2007. We were so happy we paid the extra money because it was quite literally, the only night my kids and I were actually able to get on rides at the MK. The crowd level was so manageable that one night. This was Pres Week and it was insane the rest of the time we were there. And I do mean insane. In fact, we'll never do Pres Week again. But Princess and Pirate Night saved our vacation ! Money well-spent for us.

I would have to think it wasn't very profitable because the time we went we walked on all the rides and on some like Buzz we never got off, it was great in my eyes but probably not Disney's..........

E nights those were the days. We got to take advantage of that in July of 2004. I wish they would bring that back.
