So I’m already hearing rumors that this will be the only year for the Pirates and Princess Party. I have to admit that it was pretty empty when my family went on the first of this month. I really hope that they keep it because I would like to make this a yearly day trip for my family and also the only event that I liked better was the Halloween party. Has anyone else herd anything?

I hope they do it again, too - I'm planning on a trip next year at the end of Jan just so we can attend another party!!pirate:

From everything I've heard, this will be the only year for the Pirates and Princess parties and I also heard that they had cancelled some party dates even before the first party because tickets were so slow. No P&P party yet has had over 6000 people attend (only 3100 attended the last party), and that is quite bare considering that MVMCP and MNSSHP attendance would be capped out at 35,000

That really will be too bad. I’m actually considering going again this year. It is a great event and I highly suggest it (keep in mind I have an annual pass and I’m thinking about going again... that’s how good it is).

We're debating whether to go next Thursday. I think they made a couple of mistakes. Most of the events seem geared toward small children, but an event from 7-12 at night is too late for small children. My DD11 is really on the fence about going. Also, the forcast is for 39 degrees on Thursday night--cold for small kids in costumes.

I think if we go it will only be to *walk on* all of the rides with my older two. I'm sure my DS4 will sleep in the stroller most of the night.

We went to the party on 2/5 and loved it! I'd recommend it to anyone, any age! We loved it for the characters and special parade and fireworks, but older kids and adults with no kids would love it for the walk-on rides and the candy! I think the four of us (38,34,6,4) left with literally 5 pounds of chocolate.

DS4 pooped out after the fireworks (~10) and DH took him back to the room. DD6 and I stayed until the end and had a blast the entire time.

I agree it was GREAT!:thumbsup2 Maybe we could all write a Letter?:confused3

I've actually gone twice (1/26 and 2/5). I'm possibly considering going for a third time next month. :)

maybe they'll change when it is....maybe wait till Spring or something.

Also remember when MNSSHP started the attendance was low as well, and look at it now. I think it has the possibilty to draw large crowds. Word of mouth is getting out about how good it has been.

Which dates did they cancel? Where do you find out ticket sales info?

We went 2 times during our trip. The last time we went during out 8 night stay they said they had only sold 8000 tickets and for them that was pretty dead. The party from what we were told was basically for the year of a million, and the release of the 3rd movi, so it's only to be a limited engagement. Their sells for tickets are what they consider very dead. This is what we heard from a CM the night of the second party we attended.

3100 people? That seals it - I'm DEFINITELY going to PnP while we're there in 12 days..

To have access to the park with SO FEW people.. that's something I want to experience.

My buddy who went in January said his nephew enjoyed it but it was worth it to him (the grown up) just to be able to walk onto the rides. Not sure that was what WDW was hoping for!

We went to the 2/8 party and had an amazing time! It was me (20), my brother (16) and my Grandmother so it is definitely fun for all ages. Of course we laughed at ourselves as we collected our treasure, but it was a blast! We definitely took advantage of the no lines. We literally walked on every ride. The longest line we waited in was 20 minutes....and that was to meet Captain Jack. I really hope they have it again next year.

I am so glad I went. That was literally the best money I have ever spent. We went Feb 1. The lines for treasures were long at the beginning of the evening, we didn't arrive until 8:30. We watched the parade and rode haunted mansion, then watched the fireworks. After the fireworks, the park emptied out. No lines for ANYTHING. We literally walked onto Dumbo. That never happens. We rode Barnstormer 3 times in a row, without getting off. We stayed until closing. We were pooped the next day, but I've never accomplished so much in so little time.

According to their website, all dates that were initially announced in their press release have either already past or are still available for ticket sales. Regardless, I can't wait to go on the 26th! If we like it a lot, we'll go again on March 2!

We're going this Thursday night, 2/15. The weather forecast is the pits, cold cold! I'm hoping we can do a lot of rides prior to the busy President's Day weekend!

I sincerely hope they give it time to catch on. I want to go next year. We just went in November, so there was no way we could go back so soon. But I was planning a trip next year just to go to this.

Please, give it another chance!

I definitely hope they keep it...it was a fantastic party and the fireworks were the best I have ever seen!
