Pirates 4 Was Wicked Awesome!!

We just saw it in IMAX 3d and it was amazing! There's a snippet after the credits so stay afterwards for a surprise! Kids fine to see it, no scary parts like the ghost/moonlight pirate skeletons of the first one. I'll be taking my little 5 yr old pirate niece to see it next week.

It's really that, hmm, "gentle", to use a weird word? My son has seen the other 3 (officially he's missed 2 scenes but then we watch the special features which show the scenes, so he managed to see them anyway) and is begging us to take him to the theater. We're liberal with movies (though we still say NO to Indiana Jones b/c that ark-opening scene is just TOO gross) but it's one thing in the comfort of your home with the ever-important PAUSE button, and another thing in a theater...

I went to the Marathon at the El Cap yesterday and it was great. I had seen 4 on Saturday, but it sure was great seeing it with a group of fans.

We practically all knew the words to the first one.

Yes, exactly!!!!!

Although, when I saw 3 yesterday after a long absence, I realize there were just a few things I didn't like about it and not the WHOLE movie.

But, I rank #4 right up there with #1. I could go on forever about what I liked and didn't like, but that is for another thread.

Yes! Just got back. Loved 1. Pirates 2 and 3, not so much (really disliked 3), but enjoyed 4 very much!!! Want to see it again.

Thanks for the reviews!! I'm going to see this in IMAX 3D at my local museum(big, real IMAX!) and am so excited. I loved pirates 1 -- liked 2 & 3 but they dont have the re-watchability factor for me like #1 does. was hoping to hear something good about #4!

DH just saw it with a group of teens and the consensus was that it was 'good for a 4th movie' - what the heck does that mean?

He said it was alright but he didn't care to see it again. Which means I'll just wait for Netflix.

I loved it. It was better than 2 and 3, in my opinion. It had the same "magic" to me as the first. It was so funny too. I laughed out loud a ton.

Bumber, Yes it was pretty tame. There is sword fighting, little stabbing of the bad guys and surface cut on the good guys' hands, but nothing disgusting. Then again, we're liberal with movies, too. So glad to see other enjoyed it too! I don't go in critically, I just go to be entertained an have a good time. When the castle(s) precede a movie I'm
seeing, it can only be a good day.

I saw it last night and really enjoyed it. This one was more light-hearted than the last one... it wasn't as dark and creepy.
