We are giving our kids a special experience during our trip for their birthdays and I am thinking about a pirate day "for" my son. We will be at Mk all day but I am thinking we would start the pirate thing at noon and have them do the pirates league, then stay in that area for while. Hopefully pirates will be open by November when we go. Whatse can we do....is there anything especially fun at the pirate store? I don't remember if they had anything that's particularly fun to get. Do you think tortuga will be open in November?
Would a four year old enjoy doing the pirate interactive game with the family or is it too hard?

Any other ideas?

The pirate adventure game will be fine for a 4YO. You'll have to read the map to get to the next clue; make it his job to find the little glowing thing where you put the talisman (you'll see). Definitely also do the Pirate Tutorial--grab a Dole Whip and line up 20 min or so before the next show, so he'll be up front and maybe get picked. I say ride Jungle Cruise too--it's sorta like a pirate ship ;) And Swiss Family Treehouse could be a pirate hideaway. I've never actually seen Tortuga open, but you can peek at the rules of conduct posted outside the door and read them to him (or most anyway haha). If you do all this and all the adventures, plus shopping in the store, you could easily fill a whole afternoon. I'm a sucker for a pirate ;)

Great, thanks! I figured it might be extra fun to make them each their own little time, and we all like pirates but he loves them. I will give him a pirate scroll from jack sparrow for his birthday in July telling him about his pirate mini adventure and not go to that oart of the park on our first day in MK. Great tip about the rules at tp tortuga, if we can see them we will read

The Family Magic Tour used to involve a treasure map. Hopefully someone can chime in on whether or not it still does.

Ride Peter Pan.

IMO the pirate adventures are best if its darker, if you can manage to wait that long.

You could meet PeterPan too.

I seem to recall Kenny the Pirate's site has a whole article / post on a pirate themed day = you might want to check on there.
