Pirate rooms at the Caribbean Beach Resort

Consider Art of Animation suites (but not the Little mermaid rooms-add 10 mins of walking).

We stayed in the pirates room and it was the furthest room from everything (and we can do 25k steps a day). Also it was several bus stops on the internal bus and luggage drop off was separate from the main building; the entie layout was confusing and time consuming waiting for the internal bus. We almost missed DME because the bus didn’t show up for 30 mins (we used an emergency phone located inside the stop to call them.). The room looks good, but tired kids get over the theming pretty fast. You had to take the internal bus to go to the pool.

We vowed to never stay at CBR ever again.

CBR itself is not bad. There's lots close to the lobby, even close to the Riviera skyliner station. You wouldn't ever even get on the internal bus

If you and your family like it there and are happy, that's all that counts! It's good that someone likes those rooms! Enjoy your stay!

I agree, we had some of the best fish sandwiches at the quick service and even the kids meals came in a bucket. We loved the pool and fireworks view from near there. Our DD did the pirates scavenger hunt cruise and loved it (highly recommend for a young pirate fan). We can have most of these things (pool, good QS, skyliner) at AOA and the skyliner is like a ride for our 2 yr old, so we choose that even over AKL (favorite for atmosphere; travel there for Boma).

Just don’t book the pirates room with small kids. Every time I’ve checked 3-4 months out, the ‘preferred’ rooms have been sold out with only pirate rooms left btw.
