After quick potty stops we load the monorail and head back to Epcot! At this point in the day, everyone is SOO STUFFED they can barely move and all anyone wants to do is shop or pin trade. We cut the troops lose and make arrangements to meet back at the main Pin Trading booth an hour and half later!
Princess Erin , Val and I head to Gear Works and begin our last minute shopping, knowing that tomorrow will be our last day, I we wont want to forget any special things that we need to take home! I find it more difficult than ever trying to maneuver the stroller around the store with all the people! I have NEVER seen so many people! I also am reminded of how kind or how rude some people can be. To those people that take a moment to make a difference in someones day! God Bless You!! To those people who are on their own agenda and could care less how many people you cut off or how many people you hit with your bags and such ..Shame on you!!!
I would hope that our kids learn something about human reactions and kindness on these trips and take what they learn and apply it to their lives. Wait I do live with the circus lets just hope they learn something!!
The shopping time flys by and we find our crew at the appointed time and I tell them we need to go over to the Beach Club and wander around for fun. They all look at me, like, you have GOT to be joking!! All except Pirate and Cell Phone Charlie. They look at me like ok woman, what ya got up your sleeve now? Pirate knows me well enough to know that holidays are special and I want to make them as cool as I can. We adopted Cell Phone Charlie when he was 10 years old, and he has learned very quickly about the things that are special to me. Families and Fun are my mantra in life!
I get Commander Brad and Pirate to take all the bags and packages to the car and ENCOURAGE them to drive to the Beach Club. They do it, with a laugh and smile! What can I say they put up with me! Val and I take the rest of the crew and begin walking to the International Gateway. The Three Musketeers need leashes, so I can keep them from pin trading so we can get where we need to be at the TIME we need to be there. (side note: I HATE the leash things for kids, that was just a joke). Along the walk, Peyton comes up and hugs me as we walk around, telling me he will be my date, while we are walking to the Ferry. I look at him funny and he smiles and laughs and tells me he has had the MOST fantastic time on this trip and thanks me for all the planning! What a great kid!! I love him!
The timing for catching the boat is perfect and we slide right on as we are just down right tired of walking! The kids find their favorite seats on the boat and Val and I get front row seats. The boat is empty! Then a bunch of ladies get on the boat and sit RIGHT BEHIND us. Normally this isnt an issue, but for the next 10 mins Val and I are included in their VERY LOUD conversation! We both have a great laugh about it! The entire boat is empty, but they want to sit with us! Thanks God for reminding me that I DONT need to yell over the boats engines when I talk and that sometimes, less is more!
We pull up to the Beach Club dock and find Commander Brad and Pirate waiting for us with a smile! They knew!
We were going to take a Thanksgiving Illuminations Cruise!
The kids are so excited. Pirate and Commander Brad have a cooler packed with snacks, wine and drinks for the kids, warm blankets, jackets and everything else we need! They both knew all along! What special men we have!!
Lets start off by saying that when the Captain of the boat, doesnt REMEMBER where he parked the boat, it really isnt a good sign! I look at Pirate, he looks at me, our eyes get big!! After we locate the boat and get aboard and settled down, our Captain, says, this is my first cruise, any of you adults done this trip before?? I do the Pirate Cruise, this is my first time doing this one!
Ok my eyes get bigger!!!
I look at Val, I look at Pirate, and have that .OH my Lord, what have we gotten ourselves into look! I smile and nod at the kids as they are clueless that we are being captained by a clueless warm body!! The wine is poured and in a very short time, I realize that we have been bamboozled!!
This guy is great, he know everything about all the cool facts that you hear on these cruises and he is absolutely wonderful with the kids! Captain Ron You made our cruise great! Thanks for all the cool chats and well I will get you back one of these days for freaking me out at the beginning!!
Illuminations is fantastic and we enjoy watching it from the boat! After we made it back to the dock, Captain Ron and the adults had fun just sitting and talking! The other captains were teasing him about spending the night on the boat! We ended our talks and said our farewells. Walking through the Beach Club gave everyone a chance to look for hidden Mickeys and then load up and go home!
After straightening the sheets on the bed AGAIN, I crawl in exhausted, but happy! There was no throw up today! There was A LOT of fun, friends and family and that everyone is what I am thankful for!
