Sorry guys about being so late in posting the next installments, the Christmas season is keeping me hopping.......here goes
Just to catch everyone up....Princess Erin has just thrown up ALL over the place!!
I asked Smiling Jack Justin what he was doing outside of the store and sitting on a bench and not in the store and he said, Dad told him to find his sister and sit there and NOT move till he got back! Cheergirl Jess comes wandering from around the corner and I tell her to sit and not move, all the while trying to console the crying Princess, cause she has throw up on her favorite DISNEY SHIRT, and Daddy has to buy me a new one.
I scan the store and its sea of fleas not seeing the Pirate and tell the twins to not move a muscle until their Dad comes to get them and that I was going to take the Princess to First Aid and for them to meet me there when Dad comes back!! I have NO IDEA where this man disappeared! Cheergirl Jess goes into the analytical mode and wants to know how her Daddy is going to find First Aid! I holler back at her as I am hurrying off, my hand under the Princess chin. Daddy is a big boy, there is only one, he can figure it out! I am sure the twins spent their time Pin Trading while they waited for the Pirate to return!
The Princess and I bolt through the self-opening doors of First Aid and the nurse there rushed to my side to help! They provided warm, wet towels, dry towels, care and a secluded area to get her cleaned up without prying and critical eyes. They took her temperature and gave us some nausea and fever reducer medicine. Within 20 minutes the Princess was doing much better!
She was covered in Mickey Stickers and smelled MUCH better when Pirate arrived with the twins and a clean stroller! We all smiled! The man had disappeared to the bathroom with the stroller to try to clean it up and wash the stroller padding so I didnt have to deal with it! You know a man loves you when he deals with throw up so you wont have too!
After checking on Princess Erin and assuring her that if she needs a new shirt he will buy one, he brings the twins into check on her! They had been sitting outside, quite worried! All three siblings were happy to see each other! My kids rarely fight with one another! The really never have. Dont know why; guess it is just the way that God blended our family and brought all of us together! I am not going to question it, just be happy with it!
We made sure Erin was ok and figured we better head home and get her to bed and get the puke smell off everyone! The first aid station was FANTASTIC! They wouldnt let me pay for anything and were so helpful and reassuring to Erin. As a mom of 4 I rarely overreact to too many things. I have seen or done just about all of it, but throw up KILLS ME. These nurses helped to make our familys day!!
Well, we look at the stroller, it is wet, cant put Princess Erin in it, so Pirate hoofs her up and hauls butt to the park exit! Cheergirl Jess grabs the stroller with the puke fumes wafting behind her. Smiling Jack Justin grabs all the water bottles that were in the stroller. (why I dont know) and I grab the backpack! By the time I have done this Pirate is at least 2 leagues a head of me! Let me add here that Pirate is almost a full foot taller than me and when he goes into power walk mode, I might as well forget keeping up with him! I just set my pace and start plugging to the exit!
Justin stays with me and Jess is somewhere between Pirate and me, she suddenly drops back to me and says, Daddy told me to tell you, Erin is heavy and you are a big girl and can figure out how to find the exit! I do a double take at Cheergirl Jess and just laugh and shake my head! Leave it to the Pirate to make me laugh when things seem unlaughable! She wants to know if I have a message for him and that she will run ahead with it! I look at her and say ..nothing that YOU can tell him Of course when I finally catch up to him, I whisper in his ear that he is a smart***. We both laugh and know that although today ended poorly, it was a great day! We got to spend it making memories! Even WITH throw up!
We got back to the condo and found Cell Phone Charlie on the cell phone talking to his GF and feeling MUCH, MUCH better! All he needed was rest! We got all the dirty clothes and stroller pads washing in the machine and after quick showers by all and more medicine for Princess Erin we had fun sharing some of our favorite moments of the day! Guess what Erins was? Throwing up! Ok throwing up and bodily function noises are a favorite of all childrens ages!!
I fall asleep with one ear on Erin, one ear on Charlie and one leg hanging off the bed, trying to retuck my sheets!! Then I smile to myself that tomorrow is Turkey Day and, given the history on this trip so far...there is NO TELLING what wil happen next!. Regardless, I know that we will have a blast doing it, because we will all be together! Pirate & Pixie's Traveling Circus!!
