We sail on the Dream in May Wondering if people are still dressing up in pirate attire? Anyone on the Dream recently can tell me what is current? tia

I was on the fantasy in March “Pirate Night” was watered down to photo backdrops and character meets

No diner menu
No after diner buffet
No fireworks
No pirate themed music in the atrium

most guests who loved the old times still dress up

Just got off the Dream yesterday and there were a decent number of folks dressed up in pirate gear but nowhere near as many as pre pandemic sailings. For what it's worth....apart from deck parties being MIA and distanced characters, we didn't miss many of the changes. The biggest was being able to get your own coffee and the crew being hard to understand at times due to their masks and noise. Crew around the pools weren't masked. Our family had two new cruisers and they loved it, we were on our 12th and it felt fairly normal.

Just got off the Fantasy. Lots of people were dressed up. Pirates came through MDR. Got bandanas. Fireworks at 8:30. Dance party until 9:00.

On our Fantasy cruise (March 12), they split the fireworks up to two shows. There was an 8:30 one and then another at 10:30. We were first seating, so my navigator had the 8:30 listed, but not the 10:30. I heard about it from someone else. I don't know what would have happened if we'd gone up to deck 11 for the second show, as there were CMs there letting you in to the viewing area.

Anyway, that was to keep numbers down, due to covid, but there wasn't really the busy ambiance of the parties of the past. Come to think of it, the fireworks show seemed shorter, too, likely because they had to repeat it and didn't want too many explosives on the ship.

Thanks, I was wondering what late dinner people would do! We currently have late dinner since we only booked our cruise 6 mths out. Waitlisted for early, but doubt we'll get it.

Thanks I am glad to know that the Fantasy has brought back the deck party

That's not very fair to the second seating people!

On fantasy western now. I called ahead of time and they confirmed pirate night was day 4. Once on ship it’s day 3 Cozumel.

After the cruise can you post the show schedule for the week? Doing a Western in June. Thanks!

Wait, what? Really? When did that happen? Just since Covid or earlier?

We had the 'toned down' version of Pirate Night on our 4 night Bahamas cruise on the Dream (2/28-3/4/2022). Pirates came in MDR, fireworks and dance party that night. Not the full shebang like it used to be, but it could be on its way back. The menu was pirate-themed.

Yah, we had the same thing on our 4-night on the Wonder in November, which is why I'm confused about the previous poster saying that there wasn't anything.

We just did a B2B on the Dream. There was no pirate anything on the 3 night, but the modified Pirate experience was on Nassau day on the 4 night.
