What themed night does the Pirates of the Caribbean replace on the Western? Is it the Mexicali night, or some other night that has been eliminated? I haven't seen a definitive answer on this one. Trying to plan out our Palo night, but I don't want to miss the new menu! Thanks!

I've been looking for this answer too!!! Anyone out there know?

I was on the 8/14, but our cruise was really messed up because of Charley and changing ports. The Pirate night was on Wednesday with the deck party around 9. The menu was really good, one of the best and was in place of the Mexician night, you also got to keep the menu.

Markey, saw the new menu on Barb's site, what else went on? Noticed a recent cruiser had a photo of everyone in eye patches and bandannas. Were these supplied by DCL and for keeps? I was thinking of getting some piratey stuff for the kids for that night. We usually double-dipped to Palo on the Tropically night, but was this so good we should do Palo another night?

The picture of the group with the pirate stuff was done on thier own on a cruise way before the new Pirate night was introduced.

But, there are posts that DCL is handing out red bandanas for guests to wear. There were some post where people listed website to get some cheap pirate stuff like at Oriental Trading.

Hi...I've been wondering about Pirate's night myself. Maybe some of you can answer my questions as well...

Is the Pirates night a permanent addition??

I will be going on my first Western this October and had planned on just wearing tropical style clothing like I did on the Eastern...are people still doing that on Pirates night or are they going with more of a Pirate outfit???

Thanks for the help.

We just got back from the 8/21 eastern cruise. Pirate night replaced tropical night. I'm not sure if this is going to be a permanent change or not, I'm guessing that it will be.

Everyone just stuck to the tropical dress. Maybe on later cruises people will start to trend to dress more toward pirate dress, but the dress for the evening still lists tropical. I really think it is easier to just wear tropical because the clothes can be worn again. The waiters tie the red headbands on the kids and the adults if you need help. The deck party is good, a twist to just the regular music playing, don't want to give anything away but it is better. The waiters do a little thing at the end of serving also. I really do think it will be permanent.
