Pirate League swords - too big to pack on carry on?

We have Pirate League reservations on our last day and I just remembered about an incident where a child's sword or toy of some sort was taken by security at the Orlando airport. Does anyone know if the sword is small enough to pack on carry on? Maybe I should change the date of our reservation so we can pack it.

Orlando is much stricter than our local airport. I would plan on packing it.
