pirate game question

Has anyone played pirates where you hit another player but they do not get hit? I played a game with two ppl and everytime they got hit, it just looked like the balls sank rather than hit the ship?

Just wondering if anyone else played with ppl like that.

It depends how far away you were hitting them. If you were very far away, then the balls will sink after a certain distance and sometimes it coincedently sinks right near your opposition.

If the cannons sink when you're near them then I'm not sure what's wrong :S

I've had this happen several times lately. I will hit their ship several times, yet I get no points and they register no damage. This has happened even at point-blank range.

I think sometimes it has to do with the ship they choose to use, as some ships can take more punishment than others.
Also, Ive noticed this happens to me..Im firing away and getting nowhere, because Im shooting blanks, and never realised I was out of ammo
