I understand that they leave from different ports of call.

Have you children done any of these?
Which ones (from which resorts)?
Would you recommend them?

Thanking you in advance

Only one I know of is pirate and pals cruise that leaves from the contemporary. My son has done it twice at age 3&4 he liked it both times. More so the second because he had become a big jake fan and was excited to meet hook and smee. The refreshments are ok. Nothing big. Stuff like drinks, fruit, candy, and ice cream. The pirates that take the groups out on two separate boats (hook and smee don't come) are funny and everyone wins a pirate prize from trivia games. Best part is watching wishes from the boat. Also the water pageant goes past. After, it's a good way to meet pan back on the dock which they surprise the kids with. I would definitely recommend it.

Kenny the Pirate just did a great write up on the Pirates and Pals voyage on his site last week. He's very detailed about the whole experience from start to finish so you might want to seek out his site for more information. :thumbsup2

My sons did this 2012. Ages were 11 and 8. They left from Grand Floridian first cruise of the day. Both had a great time! So glad we did this for them!

This is not the Pirates and Pals this is the kids only Pirates Adventure.

I wish I had info for you, we are trying it for the first time in May from the Grand Floridian.

Hope to hear some great stories!

Yes, I was not referring to the Pirates and Pals (which I think are family events) - though that is interesting info, and I appreciate it.

Specifically I was asking about the kids pirate cruises age 4 to 10 or 12 years old.

My boys (ages 5 and 9 then) did this last February when we were there. They went on the one that departed from POR. They enjoyed themselves and it was fun to watch them go off on their own little adventure. Gave us a little bit of time to veg on our own at the resort, as well. They got several things to keep as souvies, which was nice. I did ask them if they wanted to do it again on this upcoming trip and they declined (now will be 7 & 10). The 10 year said he felt a little old for it last time, which probably depends on the ages of the kids in the group. Depending on the ages of your kiddos I would send them, it's something fun and different to do.
My boys also really liked the Pirate League. You might check into that as well.

My son and nephew also did it from the grand Floridian. From what I understand it's more or less the same from all the different ports so I would pick the one that's easiest to get to. They both loved it. Would definitely recommend it.

Did not see this thread. I just posted a similar question.

LOL - Great Minds!

You gave better info, than I did. If I might quote you
" Pirate Adventure Cruises (Albatross Treasure Cruise, Bayou Pirate Cruise, Captain's Shipyard Cruise, Island of the Caribbean Pirate Cruise).

I wonder if there is a way to combine ours. I could just copy what I have here onto a post on your thread I would think.
