I have a 6-year old son and a 5 year old daughter who aren't afraid of being left alone. Do you think they would enjoy the 2-hour pirate adventure?
Any advice?
Thanks!
Charisse

My 2 boys, ages 7 and 4, went on the Pirate Cruise at the Yacht and Beach club in September and absolutely loved it!!!! Hubby, baby and I went and had some breakfast and just walked around and enjoyed the resort while they were gone. They still are talking about it today!!!!

My (newly)5 yr old daughter just went on the one from the Grand Floridian a few weeks ago and she loved it. We took the monorail around to the other resorts and got a bit to eat while she was on it. She can sometimes be shy (only at first) but she had no fear of going alone and had a great time. Her pirate treasure (cheap trinkets) is a prized possession now, even after all the birthday and Christmas presents.

My boys went last April at ages 7 & 8 and they had a blast! They loved the singing, the storytelling and the searching for buried treasure. They talked about it for days! Next time we go they'll be 8 & 10, and both of them want to go again. We did the one from the GF last time, just trying to decide which to do this time. Not sure what age they start at, but I know it's only through age 10. DS#1 wants to go once more before he's too old! :goodvibes

Nope, parents don't go. (Think that's partly why my older ds liked it so much! ;) ) When we did the GF one last year, we went to the hut at the marina, checked our boys in, paid for them (we'd only held the reservation with cc), and signed the release. When the "pirates" had checked in all the children, they all got life vests, nametags and pirate bandannas to put on, then they all got checked onto the boat. They were given some instructions (like there was a signal word for them all to be quiet at once), then they all started arrgh-ing and yo-ho-ing and laughing and the boat set off. I took pictures as they floated off. We went to the GF cafe for breakfast while they were gone (I had eggs benedict - yum) and then we collected them a couple hours later. They had a blast!
