We are planning a vacation in June of 2008 and I'm wanting to know if anyone has done the Pirate and Princess Party where Magic Kingdon is open for people with a special ticket fro 7-10pm. My daughters are 5 and 7. What is the best part? Reduced crowds? Special characters to meet? I'm trying to get a feel on if we should do it or not on our limited budget. I know it is a busy time of year so I thought it might be worth the money.
I'd appreciate any advice.pirate: princess:

I would think going in June, definitely do it. The parks will be so packed during the day, that you will have atleast that night to ride whatever you want without long waits and the Florida sun beating down on you. Its worth it for that alone! But you will also get the awesome fireworks. The nice thing about these fireworks is that they are not tied to Wishes at all like the XMAS and Halloween ones are, so you get a tottally original fireworks display. They also give you a little velvet bag that you can take to certain spots around the park and get things like chocolates and beads. I had a fun time and would definitely go again just for the easy access to rides and the fireworks.

i don't think P&P will be be inh June?? :confused3

I thought it was Aug-Begin of Sept only? :confused3

According to what I have read it will be Jan through March and possibly Aug - Sept, like last year but there has been no official announcement for August yet.

They are, some of the dates have been posted.

I am wondering if it would be worth it for us. My DDs are 12 & 9. Would they still enjoy this? We will be there in April. Has anyone taken their older children and found it to be worth it or should we take that night and go to Quest again?

Any advice will be helpful. Thank you.

We just did it in Aug. and even though it poured we had an amazing time! We took our 12 yr old DD to BBB first to get all princessed up & surprised her with the tickets.
The park was not that busy and we didn't have to wait for any rides at all.
As far as special characters you can meet and have your pics taken with Capt. Jack, it's the only time you can do it. They had Aladdin & Jasmine, Ariel, a dance party that was pretty cool with Flounder dancing right in the middle of everybody. They fireworks & the parade were great.
They have a treasure hunt to go on were you get "jewels" and candy.
By the end of the night we were talking like pirates and went back to our hotel and put our "bounty" into the safe:rotfl:
It was definately worth the money and we can't wait to do it again!

It is definitely worth it the extra $$. The lines are minimal. 15 minutes for Splash, Space, BTMRR, Walk on to prety much everything else. For us the parade and firework were worth the admission alone. They have treasure stops where you can get some candy and beads and stuff, but if I had older kids I would skip this unless they really want some candy. They have most of the characters out all i pirate or princess garb. They also have the dance party's in Fantasyland and TOmorrowland. We skipped those, but they looked like alot of fun.

Hi, I am a long time lurker, thank you for all your tips. I have a question about going to p&p in feb? Thinking of taking my kids during our school vacation How was the crowd during this time?

Feb is a good time to go. Well when in Feb? The beginning of Feb is a little slower (is there a slow time at disney? LOL).

No dates have been announced in April only Jan-March, but wanted to comment that my then 12 yo DD and 13 yo DS had a ball last February at this party - walk on everything - Space Mountain 4 times in a row, Buzz Lightyear countless times without a wait, Splash didn't have a wait, went in the Haunted Mansion at midnight...

We're doing it again this year at their suggestion!! So yes, older kids will have fun too!
