Pirate and Princess Party Question

We are going to our first Pirate and Princess Party during Spring Break in April. Question: We do not have any plans for the boys to dress-up in costume but wanted to maybe have them go with a patch and pirate bandana....does anyone know if Disney gives those to everyone attending? I'm thinking like the way they do on Pirate night on the Disney Cruise. If not, that is fine and we will just look for some at a gift shop. We just wanted to be prepared.

Also, does anyone know if they limit the number of tickets sold? I know the park is packed during Spring Break but wondering if this might be a pleasant break from the crowds!

We had a BLAST at the Pirate and Princess party. They do NOT give away patches, etc. We ended up buying an outfit for our daughter before we went ... a pirate ... and then got our son one while we were there. They sell all kinds of fun pirate hats, etc. We got several different kinds for the "rest" of us who were not dressed in full costume. The items given out at the X spots were necklaces (like mardi gras), a candy necklace, and a ring pop. We were not given loot bags. It was not that crowded for rides, but we did wait about 20-25 min. for a photo op with Jack Sparrow that we thought was worth it! The parade was fanastic and the fireworks show was the best!!! We went all over the park and back again and we were so tired that night!! But it was that "good" tired! Have fun!!;) pirate:

Everyone is my family dressed up in pirate items.. I made outfits for the younger ones and us older ones had on t-shirts with the theme.

Yes, tickets are limited.

Have fun.. I will be there with my 8yo on april 23rd.

Definately dress up!! We'll be there on June 6th and have already started pulling together our costumes!

I just wanted to mention that we thought the fireworks at the P&PP were even better than Wishes. We thought the cost of admission was pretty much worth it for that and the short lines alone.

We went to the party on Friday of President's Week and found the lines pretty short. Not as short as when we were there last August but still very manageable. The parade and fireworks are great. They weren't giving out candy, just beads and stickers. But we did get loot bags when we got our wristbands.

Does anyone know long does it take for Disney to send you your tickets?

I don't think they'll sell our for May 9, 2008 but I didn't want to push my luck and have them arrive at our house while we are there!

we got our tickets within a week of buying them... i called and bought them on the phone rather than online....

I bought mine ahead of time (via phone) and had them hold them for me to pick up at Guest Services when I arrive. Then I don't have to worry about keeping track of them, but I still got the advance price and don't have to worry about a sellout.

Is it true that when you have an AP, you can buy 1 discounted ticket and have up to 4 guests? :confused3

I thought I read that somewhere but it sound to good to be true.

Thanks for the great information! We ordered the tickets on-line and will pick them up at "will call." Does anyone know if you could only pick them up at MK Guest Services? Or could we pick it up at our hotel (we are staying at Poly)?

Thanks.
