for a boy? I have a 4 year old DS who is somewhat into pirates. He is more into "the nice pirate" Jack Sparrow. We are at Disney now and I can't decide if we should do the party tomorrow night. He was afraid of Captain Hook at MK so I don't know how he would handle it. Any suggestions?

DO IT!!!!! It's a lot of fun.

There is nothing scary about it. You don't have to interact with any of the characters if your son doesn't want to. He might really enjoy the treasure hunt.

The music was great as were the fireworks and the parade. We got to see the fireworks while we rode BTMR.

Go for it! My then 4 year olds loved it last year, and can't wait to go to it next year! Avoid the pirate "meets" if he's afraid, but definately go to the loot stations, see the parade and fireworks because they are really cool, and ride rides with no line! All of the characters are in costumes, too, which is fun. Go to ToonTown to see Mickey and Gang all dressed up.

He'll love it!

we had a great time jan 21st our first time to that party...there were dances for the kids....treasure hunts for jewels and beads and characters we never had seen before....this was our 15th time to disneyworld....we met cinderellas wicked mother and and her step sisters...sebastin flounder from little mermaid and my granddaughter 9 years old and i danced with sebastin and my daughter took our pic...loved it........there was an area just for Jack the pirate to talk to him privately and take pics...he made a good Jack....Very Funny...LOL....we loved the party of pirates and princesses ...it was the high light of my 48th birthday......i would recommend this party for having a wonderful memorable time....:flower3:

the parades were also beautiful at night with the ship float and the whole put together parades....fireworks were out of this world.....:lovestruc

Alright...so I hear it's a whole big deal and all and I am a complete Disney World fanatic...usually go twice a year and I'm from New York! Anyways...so I bought the tickets online for the party on March 1st to go with my friends. Do I JUST need the party tickets or do I need to buy regular admission as well? I asked Disney but they were no help, they just showed me where to buy the tickets. I'm hoping I ONLY need the 45 dollar tickets and not park tickets as well, or else I will be screwed, haha. Any suggestions on what to do/where to go first when we get into the P&P Party?

If you are just going to the party, then you just need the party tickets. If you want to go earlier than the start time for the party, then you will need regular tickets.

We went in August and it was probably one of the best times I have ever had anywhere.

Get in line to meet Capt. Jack Sparrow is the first thing I would do.

for the pirate and princess party they started letting the people who have there tickets in at 4:00pm for the party....so that day we played around downtown disney till then we had a great time....also the rides are not as full..that was a good advantage for us....not much waiting time...we loved it!!!:goodvibes

This is our first trip, and we also have P&P party tickets for March. It's my understanding that you can get into the park just on your P&PP tickets from 4pm onwards.

In fact, that will be our kids (and my!) very first time into the Magic Kingdom!

We all have pirate costumes so that will help get us all in the mood - DH looks vaguely like Jack Sparrow (well without the eyeliner!!).

We're not planning any route but just to take it all in and do what the mood takes us!
