Piper's Practically Perfect PTR..Wish Trip! 3/2-8...Upd Pg 126- TR Link!! Hooray!

All right, off to bed with me for the night! Only 2oo envelopes left, woohoo! I got all our take along stuff..ie..glow sticks, autograph books, journals, etc packed in the bottom of our checked bag, and got Piper's stuff packed into a carry-on. Hooray for progress! Tomorrow I'll start bagging and labelling her Big Give outfits by park and day, and pull out my capris and shirts and start getting those packed. My goal is to have the bulk of stuff packed by Saturday! Then Monday night it will just be things like shampoo, soap, etc to pack. Thinking I might put up a list tomorrow of everything to do before we leave. :

hi piper and mom, me and my daughter have just started reading your thread all the way from scotland, my daughters pal has just been diagnosed with cf (very late at 12). so we've been reading with baited breath.

Thank you for reading, Lynne and Emma! A late diagnosis is usually a good thing..just remember as you read our story that Piper's CF is more toward the severe range as far as the number of infections, etc, she gets. I just don't want you thinking Emma's friend will necessarily go through the same things! Thank you for the positive thoughts..Piper is feeling great right now, and we only have 9 days to go!

A new camera!! How awesome! (I popped in to be sure Piper is still well and you guys have moved ahead several pages...being popular is so much fun! )
I'm getting so excited...you'd think it was our trip. DH just looks at me as I read this stuff out loud to DD. We're keeping up on a few of these ptr's (as best we can) and he sooo doesn't get it, oh well. I wish we could be there to see all the fun! Get ready to do the single digit dance...

I wish you guys could be there too..we're so looking forward to meeting the people that we've been talking to here. Some of you may be following pnutallergymom's PTR, but for those that don't, they're planning a wish trip for her daughter Brigitte. Well, Brigitte was admitted last night for a line infection. Since Piper enjoyed her e-cards so much, I thought it would be nice to shower Brigitte with e-mails as well. They don't have the pretty pictures, lol, but I know they would appreciate any words of encouragement and prayers. The link is:

They print them out and deliver them to the room If anyone would like to send an e-card, just pm me and I'll pass along the necessary info..let's show them some Dis !

Wow! You guys are SO close to your trip!! (Okay, I'm probably making you nervous by saying that...). If it makes you feel any better, I have NEVER packed for a trip before the night before. Now, I make my "lists" possibly two nights before, and make sure we have all our current scripts, etc, but packing, no sirree! I'm a procrastinator extraordinaire (possibly why we have no PTR). That's why I am always up to at least 2 am the night before we travel. It's what I do best....

But psyched to see that at least you and Piper may get some sleep the night before you leave. You sound organized! And with Piper's recent lengthy hospitalization, I'm just in awe.

I'm trying very hard to be organized this time, Ann, usually I am sooo not! We should be good the night before, our plane doesn't leave until 11 am..it was that or 5:30 am and no way was I dealing with Gram at 3:30 in the morning! If it were just Piper and I, I would have. Thank you for the kind words I have to admit, planning and making lists made the hospital time go faster!

just got all caught up with your ptr and loved reading every minute of it thanks so much for sharing piper and your life with us diser's on here I understand perfectly about not having to many friends either because i wouldn't leave my kids with just anybody first it was because my son had so many medical issue when he was a baby and second i just didn't trust stranger's thankfully i was able to be a stay at home mom and my husband and I say we didn't have our kids to let someone else raise them (I hope I dont offend anyone else)we have just chosen to sacrafice a lot so I could stay homeso thanks again for sharing
