Just a quick update! Piper is still doing well, we're running her vest continuously overnight, and she just sleeps right through, doesn't bother her a bit. We're still waiting on culture results to come back in, but they're talking about keeping her here for the whole IV run (2-3 weeks) since it is and will be drugs she hasn't had before. Thank you all so much for all the e-cards, she loves seeing them all on the wall. I've taken some pics and will post them when I can, prob when we get back home since I can't upload them..grr!

Piper had a package waiting from Heidi (ElizabethSwan) yesterday, and she ripped right into it as soon as I got back here. I want to post the pics when we get home, so I'm not going to ruin the surprise, but Heidi, I will say she was over the moon with the contents, she absolutely loved it! Thank you so much for doing that for her.

Maroo.. thank you for continuing to update for us, we appreciate you so much!

My mom is going to drive up to visit this weekend and will bring any other boxes that come in between now and then. She also talked about bringing her laptop, if she does I'll get the pics we have so far posted for you guys, and then hopefully I can sneak in here for 30 min or so one day and get them all up! Thank you all so much for the prayers and support, the nurses and RTs are all in awe of you all, and we are as well!

I just spoke with Piper's Drs and we are definitely here for three weeks. The pseudomonas she's culturing is a pan-resistant strain, so the antibiotics she can use are very strong and require she be monitored Thank you all for the prayers and positive thoughts, and cards..she loves looking at them on the wall, and we have one wall pretty close to covered..she counted today and said.. Mommy..there's 48 of them!! LOL. Very, very cool, we're very blessed to have stumbled onto these boards. I'll keep updating as I can. They weren't able to hook up the Wii, but there's talk of possibly transferring her to the children's rehab center next week, which is much more child-centered than where we are now. Thank you all again, I feel like I can't say it enough!

Oh no! 3 weeks is forever to kids!! Aleks is already asking when Piper is going home! Tell her we all miss her on the boards and are all thinking of her! The Girl Scouts had a blast today making her cards- they are soooo cute!
