Pinterest?

One thing you can do is look under the "About" and go to "Help". This will give you a basic tutorial on how to pin things.

I found that instead of looking for a particular subject, I go to "Everything" or "Popular" and just browse the pins there.

I found this and am now trying to follow these recommendations:

While browsing, if I would like to look at a particular pin, I right click on it to open it up in a new tab. This way I don't loose where I am and can see the pin itself. I found when I was going directly to a pin, when I used the back button, it would not go back to where I was.

I was one of those that did not "get" it  when I first looked at it. After I got an invite and started looking at it, I have gotten hooked.

Have fun! :thumbsup2

I hate to do this, but who am I kidding, I'll do it anyways! Would anybody be willing to invite me? I requested an invite a few weeks ago, and I've been itching to try it out :)

I didn't "get" Pinterest for awhile, but then I discovered a pin that made it all worthwhile... the Dawn dishwashing detergent/white vinegar shower/tub cleaner.

Would you mind sharing the "recipe" for this cleaner? :)

I kind of skimmed this but I'm ok if I don't make my own pins right??

I *think* you are okay if you just repin and don't pin new stuff. And make sure if you do pin new stuff, you are pinning directly from the site so it will link to it. It is certainly not black and white.

I deleted my account completely. I am a wedding photographer and had a few inspirational boards. However, I totally did not think about violating someone's copyright. I would not want mine violated, so it's easier to just not be on there. I had alot of recipes I wanted to try, though, and never got to them. :sad1:

I didn't "get it" at first either, but now I enjoy it. I've actually cooked 3 different recipes that I "pinned" to my recipe board & my family liked them all!
Last night we had the pizza casserole.

Today I'm going to mix up some cleaning stuff to clean my shower door with.

I wouldn't say I'm addicted, but when I have time in the evenings, I'll check my friend's boards & pin things that peak my interest.

Okay, now I have a couple of questions:)

1. I saw the clothes from DisneyBound--is this simply for ideas, or is it listed anywhere where the items can be purchased? Some of the accessories are what makes the outfit and those could be difficult to find.

2. Could someone send me an invite?:flower3:

I finally gave in and joined a few days ago, but didn't actually do anything with it--didn't see the point. Got bored last night and gave it another shot, thinking it'd be a good way to store the recipes I want to try. By the time I weeded through my bookmarks, I had half as many as I started with, which was like 19 total. As I try recipes, I save good ones to my One tsp. account and delete the bookmarks, which is what I'll do to this, so I'm still not seeing a good use for it for myself.

The other problem is that for inspiration and likes, I have other sites I've been part of that do the same thing, if not better. And as I found with a few recipe bookmarks I'd kept, simply keeping the link (pinned or not) isn't safe as you have no idea when it will change or be deleted.

Heya-
:goodvibes I have invites if anyone wants, PM me.

I use Pinterest alot for recipes and for craft/program collection boards, and one thing I always do is make sure that my pins/repins go back to the original site. The websites I visit I always check to make sure there aren't any copyright issues and that they're free and clear or for "public" use, and then pin away.

I don't use photos of collections, photography, etc. that could possibly have copyright issues, or repin pins that do not link to original websites, or link to websites that have protected images/content.
