Pins!

Finally got DD's up on the wall:

We also use a cork board and have it split into different sections for each family members pins. It's easy to use and now I have a random box of mickey head pin backs ;)

Do you guys use a little spot of glue to keep them in the board or do they stay in pretty good by themselves?

The tape looks great! Does it have a specific name?

Thanks! It was so easy for a completely non-crafty person like me! It was called glitter tape, but I can't remember the brand and I know I have thrown the wrapper away. I found it at Hobby Lobby and I think it was in the scrapbooking area.

DizzDoll, they stay fine by themselves. I wouldn't want to put glue on the pins. Plus, you never know when DD might decide to take one off to trade on our next trip, or might decide to rearrange the pins on the board because she has come home with some new ones.

Thanks! I'm going to keep an eye out for it. Our edges are still the plain wood.

Please do tell! :lovestruc

They are made with embroidery hoops and black felt. Cut the circles of felt larger then then the hoops. Wrap felt around hoop and hot glue in place. Then hot glue the two smaller (ear) hoops to top of head. Minnie was embellished with a ribbon bow. I used wooden hoops but if I were to do again i would get the plastic ones. You can see one of minnie's ears is a little wonky. I dropped it and the wooden hoop cracked.

That simply and I think a great way to display our pins. If you need more help or more detail feel free to pm me.

Everyone's collections are amazing! :worship: I need to put mine in a pin book, I've been slacking!

Thanks for posting! I just showed my kids and they love the idea. Right now, they have theirs in a box in their room and mine are in my jewelry box. I would much prefer to display them!

Thanks for the great ideas everyone !! We are planning our next trip for the first weekend in April, and were going through our pin bags last night:confused3 no more room in there. But now, I think we are going to have plenty of room because we are going to be making a corkboard for each of us!!:goodvibes
