Pins on the Plane

Is it ok to carry Disney pins in your carryon luggage? I think I read somewhere to place all the pins in clear ziploc bag so when metal detector goes off, they can pull the pins out to look at.

I dont want to put on checked luggage and risk be stolen.

You should be fine putting your pins in your carry-on. Remember, your carry-on bag goes on the conveyor belt and goes through an X-ray machine, not a metal detector. So that should be fine, since you can put other metal things in your carry-on (like a curling iron, etc.).

But you will want to be sure not to wear any pins on your clothes -- THAT would set off the metal detector that you'll be walking through!

I've always dropped my lanyard into my checked bag and never had any problem at all

My kids always place their lanyards in their carry-on bags & have never had any issues and our last trip was just this past November. Like someone said, these bags go thru the x-ray machine so they can clearly see what's inside.
