Hi We booked a trip at the CSR for May and when we booked it we priced it out on line. When we booked the trip with Disney on the phone, the woman said I had gotten a PIN number for free quick service dining and she had applied it.

However we booked TWO rooms and my fathers room (which is a water view)wound up being MORE than our room (standard view). The price for trip on line (a standard room and the deluxe dining plan) was EXACTLY THE SAME price that we got on line with the supposed PIN number applied.

The woman had NO IDEA WHY THIS WAS....does anyone have an idea???

If you were looking online with one of the general public disney deals, it may well have been the exact same deal you got in your pin. Their are some pins where the percent off is the same/almost the same as the public one.

Are you sure you are not looking at a discount online? I don't know if it automatically applies whatever the public discount is, so your free QS PIN might be equal to whatever the public discount is? Just a guess, otherwise I would think she did not apply your dining.

Where were you quoting the price online.. a direct link posted here would be good.

Also post the 'exact price' you were quoted that matched. Then we can do some comparisons and probably get to the bottom of this.

Is it just your father's room that was the same online and with the pin? It may be that the didn't apply the pin to both rooms. I think you are supposed to be able to get more than one room reserved with your pin. Maybe she just didn't do it.

Is everyone getting tickets? To get the dining, you have to be getting a package and therefore tickets. If your dad isn't getting tickets, then he wouldn't qualify.

details as to when you are staying what people/ages will be in each room, what kind of tickets/dining are being included with and without the pin, what the original online amount was and what the amount was with the supposed pin would help us figure out what is going on.

Very Confused:confused3

Why wouldn't you expect the water view to be more?

Did you book online or through CRO? Did you book the second room at the time you booked the first with the Free QSDP applied? Do you want your room and your father's room to be the same price, same dining? You mention Deluxe dining vs. Quick Service, so I am totally confused.

Only reason I ask is because I booked yesterday with a free QS dining pin. I wanted two rooms. When the CM booked my second room, the price was much higher. I said wait a minute... I said I don't think you applied the PIN correctly, sure enough he said he applied the Visa deal (I had put down the deposit on the first room with my Disney Visa) of the kids stay and play free, but we didn't have any kids in the second room. He had to go back and switch the codes. It worked fine once he did that. Both rooms were correct with free dining applied.

Just so you know the QS dining pin can be used on two rooms, it can include only a one day ticket (we are AP holders)too.

Edited... by the way I went online prior to calling about my pin. I simply put in my dates on the main page (which would be rack rate) and did all the details for room choice, ticket choice and did not add dining. That is the exact price he gave me for my room with the free dining applied. It should be rack rate with free dining included. As long as you aren't checking online in the "discounted" section, you should be able to know what your room and your father's room should cost based on the individual selections of the room (water view vs. stnd). If you don't get that call back and make someone check to see if the codes were applied correctly. The CM guy I got yesterday said there are so many codes right now it gets confusing. Good luck!
