We enjoyed taking a break in the Animation Building in California Adventure where there are a couple of cool activities like Turtle Talk with Crush, the Animation Academy, and the Beast's library where you do a survey to see who is your Disney character match! Always fun, though a bit busy in there now that Anna and Else have taken up residence.
The Main Street cinema shows classic Disney cartoons and is also a nice place to cool down.
ToonTown is adorable and full of fun, interactive props. I love our pictures from that area!
Don't forget to walk through Sleeping Beauty's Castle and visit Snow White's wishing well!
Pin trading can be fun, but when we tried with grandkids, a lot of the CM's had the same pins! A footprints theme and an acorn one seemed to be standard that week. It left them wanting more variety after a few days. We also strongly recommend LOCKING PIN BACKS! The Mickey head ones they come with are not secure at all, and all the kids started losing pins! We had purchased some metal ones on line before a previous trip. I heard a CM say that they usually have some for sale, but they were out of stock.
Have fun planning!
