Pinochio Village Haus - Panini Gone!?!?

I loved the Starboard Deck sandwich and was really looking forward to it. What a bummer.

All Disney pizza is crappy if you ask us!!!!

Coming from New Jersey/New York area, anywhere we get pizza is not up to our standards. I believe it is the water that makes the pizza or bagels the best. Our water, especially in New York, is the best! Makes all the dough foods great.

Well ... these are just "boboli" type crusts trucked in from somewhere. Who knows what water was used in the dough! They are just not super special at all (ok, I make "boboli" pizzas at home but add some spices or really good cheese -- not like a CS does).

But water certainly makes a difference with some of this stuff ... don't drink the Nescafe coffee made with WDW water!

Anyway ... I'll be sorry to see EVERY counter service place turn into a burger and pizza joint (and fries!) ... It not very appealing to eat that way for a week ... at least not for me.

I was so looking forward to having one again when I go for my weekend without the kids next week.

Time to check the menu for Columbia Harbor House.

Oh - I am seriously bummed.

CHH is our number one fave at MK. We always get chicken tenders & fries. They had fried fish, too. Is the menu still the same there?

I only eat there to sit by the winodw and wave to the Small World riders! Also, as a Chicagoan/Italian girl, I've never bothered with the cannoli there. I did like the cheap chocolate cake in a tub!

First, no Figaro Fries. Now, no panini! I don't know if I will be going back to Pinnochio Village Haus because those are the things that I always ate.

I was upset to see if missing from the menu two weeks ago! I opted for the veggie wrap at Cosmic Ray's instead, but I was really in the mood for a panini while watching the loading dock for It's a Small World. Boo!!!

I remember as a kid going each year they had the best burgers! we always went there just for the burgers & fries. Well we have the dining memories at least....

Figaro fries are still on the menu!
However, when we were there, the second week of June, they only had Pizza and Salad.

First, no Figaro Fries. Now, no panini! I don't know if I will be going back to Pinnochio Village Haus because those are the things that I always ate.

That's where we are at too. I was sad about the loss of Figaro Fries (even though I didn't start a campaign to bring them back) and I am even sadder at the loss of the panini. We'll just move our dollars elsewhere and if MK homogenizes even more - we'll just eat lunch back at our room before our naps.

They're on the menu, but they aren't the same. They took away the lettuce, tomatoes and ranch. Figaro Fries are just now cheese fries with bacon. While the change makes some happy, I don't see why those people could have continued ordering Figaro Fries - Hold the lettuce tomatoes and ranch. Then EVERYONE could have been happy.

Oh I know the problem, Disney wants to make more money.

Okay, so "crappy" may have been harsh. But, I just got tired of seeing them on almost every CS menu at MK. I understand they're easy to prepare, but come on, not everybody wants a Pizza. How about some other choices please!

They ARE crappy pizzas. The last one I had at the Village Hause was a pre-made Boboli-type crust with a bare minimum of toppings--the so-called vegetables on the vegetarian pizza were microscopic and unidentifiable. It was nothing but a wad of starch.

*whispers* my (then) 4 year old DS wouldn't even eat his, nor would my 2 year old who'll eat just about everything. We aren't fans of the pizza there either.

I liked the panini there, I had it last year. And they apparently changed the Figaro fries too. I think I'll be boycotting Pinocchio's from now on.

I thought Disney was trying to be more healthy... how is converting all CS places to nothing but burgers, pizza, and fries supposed to be healthy? Where are the other options!?

I can't believe they took the lettuce, tomato, and ranch off of the Figaro Fries. Might as well just go down to Pecos Bills and order plain fries and load them up on the toppings bar instead... but then you can't look out over IASM from the window seats... sigh...

Yes, I saw a picture of the turkey bacon wrap at Cosmic Rays-it looked delicious. Pinocchio's took away the Antipasto salad, then they changed the Figaro Fries, now there's no Panini? And CHH took away the 1/2 sandwich and soup. So now I might as well try Cosmic Rays.

The only sad thing about that (Cosmic Ray's) is that it was always jam packed 24/7 before. Now it'll be even crazier.
