I have been looking at menu's this morning on allearsnet.com and was interested in Pinocchio Village Haus. Has anyone eaten there recently? I haven't heard much about this restaurant so I don't know what it is like. I would really appreciate some reviews as we are trying to decide which restaurants to pick. Thanks so much in advance. :mickeyjum

DD5, DF, and I ate there last Saturday (5/20). DF and I split the chicken tenders and the salad:

Antipasto Salad - fresh mixed greens, assorted Italian meats, olives, marinated mixed vegetables, and Parmesan cheese tossed in Italian dressing.

Chicken tenders are chicken tenders---taste pretty much the same everywhere. The salad, however, was excellent. Very surprising for a CS. DF and I were fighting over the meats, cheese, and olives.

DD had the Macaroni and Cheese - served with Mickey crackers, no-sugar-added Jello and child beverage. This kid will eat mac & cheese until it's coming out her ears. She gobbled it up and we saved the crackers and jello for later.

The best place about this cs is if you can get a seat next to the glass overlooking Small World. We scoped it out and nabbed a seat as someone was leaving which managed to entertain DD in between bites!

We ate there the last two years for lunch including last week. Food is okay for counter service. Very filling. Try the canoli for a snack. It is very good. It was very crowded the both times we went for lunch, however the ordering lines moved pretty quick. Have someone scount out a table while someone orders.

We really liked Pinocchio Village Haus. DH got the turkey panini (good, and very large) and DD and I shared the pizza combo. It was heaven just to get inside in the A/C and have lots of seating to choose from.

We will be going back on our next trip.

All I can remember about the place (we ate there twice in January) was that it's Heartburn City.

We ate there back in September. I had the personal pan pizza and my husband ate a sub. It was good, I don't remember being unhappy with the meal.

Go to the nearby Columbia Harbour House for a better CS. We went a few weeks ago and were not pleased. You get a nice "It's a Small World" view at four of the tables, but overall, Columbia Harbour House is a better pick.

Does anyone know if on the DDP kids get a snack besides the jello included? We will be eating here in August so just wondering. Thanks!

I ate there in late November, and I loved it. I had the antipasto salad without the meat, and Figaro Fries, which I loved. However, it was my first time having the FF, so I don't know if they've changed. I'd definitely go there again-especially since I heard they have good desserts!

DH, DD8, DS8, and I had lunch there last week. We thought it was pretty standard counter service -- we were pretty tired of the standard hot dog, hamburger, chicken nuggets by that day -- so we all ordered indiv. cheese pizzas.

Good central location, overlooking It's a Small World.

we went in feb. and kids had the pizza can't remember what dh had but I had the panini and it was awesome I also tried the pizza and thought it was great!

and this trip was our first visit to Pinocchio's Village Haus. Guess what? We liked it so much we ate there 3 times over 9 days! DH liked the turkey pannini, DS10 was happy with the chicken tenders (as usual), but I really, really liked the Italian sub and the superb canoli! Very nice change from usual counter service fare. Interestingly, Cosmic Ray's used to be our favorite MK CS, but this time, it was so crowded, all available tables were dirty and the place seemed packed with screaming--and I mean SCREAMING-- infants and toddlers...talk about indigestion!

But, a big two thumbs up for Pinocchio's!

Wow...We have eaten at PVH the last few trips, but it always seemed to be a "concession" type thing (meaning we were too tired to go elsewhere and options are always limited in the MK). I know they have changed their menu...we will have to give it a shot!
