Pinel Island Snorkel tour

I would love to hear some feed back about this trip??? Anyone?

I have never done this excursion but some people we sailed with did and they said it was fun. Truthfuly they didnt seem very enthusiastic about it though. On the other hand I did hear many enthusiastic responses from people who did the Golden Eagle catamaran sail. Everyone said it was fantastic. We did The French Riviera beach rendezvous and it was the most gorgeous beach I have ever seen but I would not pay to do it again, I heard it is very simple and cheap to get a cab and do it yourself. Sorry I know you didnt ask for all this info but, I hope it helps.

Thanks for the helful info. I've struggled with doing the beach on my own or doing a trip. Went for the snorkel trip. It's just me and my son and I was looking for ease of it all that Disney provides. I KNOW you can do it cheaper, but....
I'm spending the day in St. Thomas on the beach. Can't wait!! Actually, can't wait to get away from the cold...

Personally I would reverse your island activities. I would go to the beach on St. Maarten (other than Great Bay where the Magic is parked). Snorkeling on St. Maarten is iffy. Some days good, other days not so good because of the wind kicking up sand on the ocean floor.

When at St. Thomas, I would go to St. Johns for one of the snorkeling excursions (Buck Island would be my second choice). St. Johns is beatiful for snorkeling and sceenery.

We went on the Pinel Island tour during our August trip. We had a great time. It is a short bus ride over and we got a little tour of the island. The weather was perfect the day we went and the water was calm. The people that run the tour were very helpful and knowledgeable. They put out bait so that the fish will come into the area. It was my first time snorkleing and I thought it was incredable. The beach where the water shuttle drops you off is very beautiful also.
