Pinecone- Anyone else "flagged"?

OK - Remember when Pinecone sent out the questioneer asking members whether they would rather continue getting paid $5 per survey or choose to get paid $3 and possibly get more survey opportunities.... I was one of the people who opted to continue with the $5 payment. I figured that if everyone did this they would have to keep paying us all $5.

Anyway- I got a "survey" from them today telling me that "unfortunately my household has been flagged" and I will be discontinued as a member unless I agree to recieve the $3 cash incentive instead of the $5 I have been getting. I guess there is more than one way to skin a cat.

I opted for the reduction to $3 because I figured something like that would happen if I stayed at $5. I haven't seen an increase in the number of surveys, though, so I am making less money than I used to.

yeah i got that email also, and i dont know what to do ?? so i came to check here... i just dont think that is fair so i think i am opt out of pincone for now on. I just don't know though

The first time I got the "do you want to change to $3", I opted to stay at 5. I didn't get any surveys for a while then I got another message saying if I wanted to continue, I'd have to do it for 3 so I agreed then. I never got officially flagged though.

Yeah, I never figured there was really a choice, you know? If we didn't want to take the $3, they'd just stop sending the surveys. So I opted for the $3 and have been getting the usual amount of surveys. I miss those extra $2, but it's still more than most survey companies pay.

That is what happened to me as well. But I have not gotten very many surveys. Sadly they sent me something to try out, but they sent it on a 100 degree day and it sat outside all day and was ruined by the time I got it. I emailed them and they said well sorry now I can't be a part of that survey. I wish they had more surveys for me.

I opted for the $3 per survey and have been happy with the number of surveys I have gotten. I have had 5 surveys since 6/30. When I made the switch I hadn't had a survey in almost 2 months. So, I think it was a good choice for me. And as a pp said, to me it the choice to switch from $5 to $3 per survey really didn't seem like a choice to me. Either we agree to the $3 per survey or they will stop sending us surveys.

Yeah, I got the ax, I think for wanting to keep $5 per survey.
