I am not really "in to" pin trading, although I have bought some pins. In Disneyland (California), many people do it it (pin trading that is!) but as far as I noticed, in Disneyland Paris, it are only children, and they see it as a real game, and not as a way to get pins you woul never get otherwise.

What is your idea about it? Do you think pin trading will be totaly "in" at DLP or not?

Sandra although only our troops have got into pin trading we have seen plenty of adults trading.
For the pin trading events when the new pins are launched I'd say it is taken very seriously.

Often local pintraders are on the centre hub by the cart before the Plaza Gardens at the weekend especially when the weather is warmer.
When its cold you can find them in the discovery parade

I pin traded at DLP :)

(I was 30 then by the way LOL)

We saw some "serious" pin-trading going on at DLP as well. in fact I really didn't see many children with pins... but it was very cold - they may have had their coats hiding their lanyards!

I traded for the first time this year (33yrs) . DD (5yrs) wasn't to bothered though ..
CMs did seem surprised that a "grown up" wanted to trade .

I´m in pintrading too and trade at DLRP mostly with the CM. Problem with the other traders is that they all have the same pins I have and sometimes I feel that most french traders are "sharks"...but perhaps its only cause I dont speak french.

I just bought my first Lanyard & a ton of pins this trip but dont really understand pintrading, I chose my pins very carefully because they are the ones I like!

If I was asked to trade then of course I would but am unsure what benefit it would bring me. Of course I would get to look at somebody else collection and as I am nosy this would be nice!

Renate : I was reading this thread which might apply to french traders. Upto our last visit I was very nervous about trading with Traders with big books or boards but this trip we traded with three different french traders and had no difficulties. The language will always be a disadvantage but I keep trying as I love to trade.

This is obviously on a board that is not acceptable here If any one wants to know PM me

Thanks for all your answers. I will take my pins with me, and see if I trade. I used to trade with the CMs, but they had also all the same pins I have. And most of them looked weird at me because a grown up wanted to trade pins!

I shouldn't have any poblems with the French, since I'm Belgian, I speak just as fluent French as Dutch!!! ;)

Don't forget to try the pin trading boards. They are in the big shop in the studios at lunch time and the Emporium at about 6pm. They have a whole board on which everyone in your group can trade 2 pins. The staff who man the boards just do pin trading!!!
They have a section for LE pins which you can trade LE for LE :wizard:

My youngest DS got into pin trading last June at DLP. He would only trade with CMs as he knew they couldn't refuse, if they didn't have that pin. He also found several cheaper/discounted pins on sale which he quickly bought to trade with.
