Pin Trading

Here's another newbie question:
I have a couple pins that are special to me and that I wouldn't want to trade.

I would like to wear these pins on my lanyard and talk to people about them, but is it frowned upon in the "Pin Trading Community" if I'm not willing to trade certain pins? Should I just leave these pins at home?

You should be okay.

I've often met people having "showcase pins" on their lanyards so far. Remember, if someone asks you if you want to trade you don't have to agree. :)

Thanks for the quick reply Vala! My pins aren't really "showcase pins", but instead they are sentimental to me for various reasons.

I have a lanyard full of pins I will not trade. I wear it proudly. It is definitely not frowned upon for guests to wear what they want and to trade or not trade. It's 100% up to you, just make sure you don't let anyone bully you into trading. Some traders will do that.

lol i think im gona make a pin book (at least till i can get to disney) and have all my non traders in there so i dont lose them i cant belive all mine are still on the lanyard and on a hook in our room. MY sons was supose to stay on his door, most did but he moves it. hes lost one or two backs but most them are still on there.
