my last visit to DL was 10 years ago! Back then we had a great time pin trading with cast members. Is that still popular? I could see my 8 year old really enjoying it if it is still around.

Thanks!

DD has only been pin trading for 3 years so I never paid much attention to it before but back then didn't the CMs have pin books or boards set up near Jolly Holiday Cafe? If I'm remembering that correctly it is no longer the case. You will however find pin boards at several stores along with the CMs wearing their lanyards. Happy trading!

I have not seen CMs out with pin books on a regular basis near Jolly Holiday (or anywhere for that matter). They do have pin boards in many of the stores and many CMs were wearing lanyards over the Memorial Day weekend.

I know the CMs don't currently have pin books but several years ago did they? or were those the "professional" traders with the books. I remember there used to be small tables, the height you stand at and only out for part of the day, and there was a lot of pin trading going on and I know CMs were there just not sure if they had the books and were trading or they were there with their lanyards and maybe pin boards and the pros had the books. Just a random memory I have of DL but like I said, didn't really pay attention because nobody in my family were pin traders, heck this might have even been before I had kids and my oldest is now 10!

I remember seeing CMs out with pin books several years ago over by the Frontierland pin shop. They came out only at specific times for a specific amount of time. Some place do still have pin books (I think Oswald's is one), but they are few and far between at this point. The "professional" traders are still in the parks; lately I've seen them at the tables in Rancho del Zocalo.
