Pin Trading "Rules"

i tried the "locking backs" to the pins that are sold in the resort gift shops.

i like them as they keep the pins on my lanyards.
but, i can't take them off as fast without the key is needed.

anyone else use those locking backs for your pins?

The 'posts' that have the set screw in them? I use those for my 'keepers' I have a few pins that I like to display and they dont ever come off the lanyard. Other then that I just use the mickey ears for my traders, as the ones I trade for dont stay on the lanyard long, they go in my 'pin briefcase'

My DD uses the locking pin backs on some non-traders that she keeps on her lanyard. She also uses them for her Alice in Wonderland colleciton that she keeps on the strap of an Alice in Wonderland messenger bag type pocketbook that she bought a few trips ago. Her traders she uses regular pinbacks for. We have found that the local Harley Davidson shop has locking pin backs cheaper than Disney.

thank you for the info on the locking pin backs.

i have been using them for my everyday pins on my lanyards but it takes me too long to remove a pin to trade. i'll have to switch off from using them on my trading days.

i bought a lot more of the mickey rubber backs but the more i take a pin off, it seems like i widen that pin back. (that was the reason i bought the locking pin backs)

I must confess, My family is totally addicted to disney pin trading as well. We have som much fun trading pins at the park. It is awesome.

Its one of our favorite activities at the motherland.
