Pin trading on the Cruise?

I know the expensive addiction we all know & love as Disney pin trading takes place on the Cruise. My question is, to what extent? Is it as prominent as it is in the World with CMs everywhere with lanyards? Or is it not as evident? If it’s not as mainstream as the parks, what percentage less would you say it is? And, are there any special tips/tricks/secrets you can offer especially for Cruise pin trading?

Pin trading does exist on the shipd but at a different level than the parks. There are two shops on the ship where CMs wear lanyards all day. Each night there is a scheduled time for trading pins with the ship's officers and more staff.

Due to the limited number of people on the ship I would say there is not as much opportunity to trade for as many pins as in the park. If you enjoy buying pins, however, there are better opportunities to score very limited pins available only on the ships. Each cruise will have limited edition releases that sometimes number as low as 500 pins (less than the number of people on the ship).

Hope this helps. Enjoy!

Of course, there is always the pin trading cruise. Check out Disneygallery.com for info.
