Calling all Pin Traders!
Join us for a special event, designed with you in mind.
What:
Our first ever Pin Trading Round-Up

Everyone loves to trade pins! This weekend we invite you to design a room where Players can visit, and trade pins. The best pin trading rooms have a sense of fun and excitement, but are also well organized. Show us your version of a rootin' tootin' pin trading room and you could win big!

When:
Friday, 2:00pm — 7:00pm Eastern
Saturday, noon to 4:00pm and 6:00pm — 10:00pm Eastern
Sunday, noon to 4:00pm and 6:00pm — 10:00pm Eastern

Rules:


Room name must contain the Room owner's name followed by "Pin Trading".
Example: VMK_Babs Pin Trading
Rooms should be designed to make trading easy; no games or teleporters please.
All players visiting a Pin Trading room, including the room owner,should be ready and willing to trade the pins they are wearing. If you have pins you will not trade, don't wear them.

Judging:


The room must be on the Popular Guest Rooms list to be eligible.
The room owner must be present to be considered.
Members of the VMK Staff will be visiting eligible Guest Rooms between the hours posted above, but cannot guarantee that all rooms will be visited and/or judged.
There will be one winner for every hour of the competition. That means there are 19 chances to win!
Winners will be announced in the next Newsletter.

Special items in VMK shops:
This weekend only, check out the Specials in Shrunken Ned's Shop and the Star Trader's Shop. Get yourself all "duded up", ya hear?

Trade with VMK staff members:
Just like in a Disney park, VMK staff members will be trading pins during the event. Any staff member who is wearing a Goofy hat and is in a Pin Trading Guest Room will trade pins with you. If they are wearing the pin and you see them in a Pin Trading room you may ask them to trade with you. If you see a VMK staff member outside a trading room and/or not wearing a Goofy hat, please don't ask them to trade.

Some notes about trading etiquette:


Please ask a Player first if they would like to trade, and wait for a reply before sending a Trade request.
When you're done trading, leave the room so someone else can get in.

whole thing seems to support a cowboy costume! better get saving up credits. I figure a MINIMUM of at least 3,000 credits. AND the tomorrowland pin! Yeesh!

My take on this week-end events is that one of the prizes should be a voucher to redeem at the parks for a "REAL WDWORLD/LAND VMK" pin!

And they needed to make more pins available all this week for only for short periods and in limited supply so as to have a trading frenzy just like "real World"pin trading. But hey what do I know? I am just a die hard DISNEY FAN.

I think VMK needs some consultants for this game don't you....I would be more than willing to help for FREE!!!!

I was thinking the same thing...but why would it be in Shrunken Ned's and the Star Trader? I mean they have the Golden Horseshoe opened up and for the past many weeks they've been having people go to the Star Trader which also isn't on the main VMK World Map. Oh well...we only have 12 and a half hours to go!
