Pin Trading at Downtown Disney

I was down there last late October early November and there were even more drastic changes since I was there in May. As I understand it now trading is all but dead at Pintraders at the Marketplace in Downtown Disney. I heard they took the tables away and discourage trading altogether. If this is true where can one gather and trade other than officailly sanctioned events such as "Pin Trading nights" once a month. I would miss the fun of trading and the art of sealing the pin deal and the interaction with fellow traders (minus the sharks)

This is true, the tables were taken away in DTD but the tabels still remain in adventure land by the pin store to trade. Many people also lay out there books on mainstreet where all the tables are, especially on sundays. Other than these two....there really isnt a place.

I think there is still trading in Epcot Center as well, by the fountains. But the OP is right, it is disappointing that the Pin Area in DTD was removed

It's good to know that the pin area's in the 4 parks are active:

Magic Kingdom: Frontierland Pin Station
Disney Hollywood Studios: Sorcerer Mickey Hat
Animal Kingdom: Pin Trading Post
Epcot: Pin Central

But what I'm looking for is a place where traders gather outside the parks, but still on property.

Princess Row you said something that interested me. You said "Many people also lay out there books on mainstreet where all the tables are, especially on sundays" where on Main Street because I would like to check that out.

Once again thank you all for the info and keep it coming. I think I might drop a line to guest services about this and see what they say on the subject.

Sorry Swamp_Fow i was referring to DLR and didnt realize you meant WDW. I can't really help with WDW, ive never been there. But DLR they lay out the books on mainstreet, theres some extremely nice people.

Princess as a matter of fact I'm going to Disneyland for the first time in May from the 14th to the 19th. I know that there is a Pin Trading Night scheduled on the 16th. Other than that I'm pretty much pin clueless at Disneyland. So where on Disneyland Main St does this pin action go on. Also if you have any other DLR pin tips let me know either here or PM.

I've found most of them only on Sunday and (giving the WDW reference) where the Crystal Palace would be in WDW.
