Hi,
Yes, you can trade any pin stamped with Disney on the back with cast members. A pin lanyard would be helpful for trading but is not required. Some quick pin trading tips:
- Cast Members will trade a pin for a pin so long as they do not have the pin you are offering already on their lanyard
- You can exchange up to two pins with a single Cast Member
- Walk up to a Cast Member, greet them, and politely ask to see their pins. I often use their name and introduce myself and family. Pin trading is as much about meeting people as finding a pin.
- The Cast Member will show you their pins by extending their lanyard. I often show them my pins by taking the bottom of my lanyard and extending it towards the CM. Sometimes, they like to see what pins you have.
- If you see a pin you like, ask them to trade that pin for the pin you choose from your lanyard. Remove your pin and place it "sharp side" up in the palm of your hand. Make sure the back is on the pin.
- The CM will remove their pin and so the same.
- Exchange pins. Make sure to thank them for trading!!!
