Have any of you actually used it to trade?

I trade on Pinpics a few times a month. I generally get 4-5 requests per week, but do not accept all of them. It is a great trading venue.

Be sure to go to http://www.dizpins.com and use the Reference Center to check out if the other party has references. I always add a reference after a trade has been completed and pins arrived.

I've traded many times on Pin Pics. Not much right now as Summer is a crazy time of the year for me. But I'll make one or two trades a week through Pin Pics. Have fun!

How do I tell if someone has accepted or rejected my trade request?

I found something I really wanted, so the suspense is killing me

Your trade requests go out around 6:30 AM (EST). If someone accepts your trade, they will write you back. A lot of people don't bother to reply if they don't want to trade though, so don't be discouraged if you don't hear anything. Just keep trying with different pins

Pinpics is a bible to pin traders. I even added a few cast pins this morning. (Dream Makers)
I use Pinpics all the time, and have for years. However, I use it off and on. Currently I have my Trade Assistant turned off, and did that off shortly after the postage rates increased.
I have many trader pins. But don't buy them in the masses I use to.
TA is a great tool, and almost 100% how I have traded except with CMs in the parks. And I don't even trade that way near as much as I use to.
Evientually you will experience a bad trader. We probably all have, and it will happen. Go with your gut feeling on a trade, be specific, and keep your documentation. The same could be said for on-line auctions too. I have been burned on those more than once.
You may have one bad trade out of 100.
I have met some of the nicest people through Disney pin trading, who I never would have met otherwise.
