pin swap--Happy to report

I have a follow up post below regarding the status of the swap pin. Thanks to all who posted. It's wonderful to share a love of pins with people like you!!!!

Well, it is 1030am on Wednesday and just thought I would add an update--glad to see over 70 people have viewed this post--sorry to say that mom still has not received her pin. Whoever you are that had mom in the swap I would hope you have read this.

I can only assume that since I was not even contacted privately by email that this is a dead issue. Sorry to have had to do this but I am a little bummed at the fact that someone would actually volunteer to participate in such a wonderful notion and then not have the courtesy to respond.

I hope you enjoyed the pin you received from the person who had your name in the draw. Remember my mom everytime you look at it and think of how happy she would have been to receive hers too.

First let me say that I did receive my pin swap pin and was very happy with it. Mom however, did not receive hers. I am mom's resource for the internet since she does not have a computer. I would like to know is there anyone else out there who has not received their pin. I am just concerned cuz I hope whoever had dopeymom (audrey) may think she has not replied if they sent the pin. Contact Peggy on this board, (drawing a blank on her board name at the moment-but I am sure she will read this)..since she organized it, she has the list of who drew whose name for the swap..maybe there is some reason your mom hasn't received her pin yet, and I am sure that Peggy can clear it up!

Thanks so much for the advice, but I already contacted Peggie a few times. She in turn has emailed this person back as many times as well, w/o response. The email has not been returned soooooo, I had no other choice but to voice my frustration on the board.

I do know I would do the pin swap again because I know that most people are true to their word.

P. S. I can feel the pixie dust already.....That means when we go on our 7day cruise for halloween we will have a wonderful time and pin trading will be great!!!!! Thanks much for the well wishes.

I hope you have a great time on the cruise. And rest assured, when you get back the pin fairies will have a few surprises for your mom. sometimes this happens and someone gets forgotten in the swap, but some of the fairies get in touch with me and make everything alright.
I did contact the person again and have heard nothing, so let's leave it to the fairies. Peggie

I am not home much, but do you think she would care for a pinpics pin to add to her collection? If you will email me via the DIS email I can send one out to her. I do not get much of my mail that comes to my home email addy as I am gone so much. By time I get home I have between 2 & 300 emails to sort through. but I can get DIS email no matter where I am. If you will semd me her home addy I would be glad to send her one.

I just heard from the person who was supposed to send your mom the swap pin. She has been away. She does have the receipt form the first pin and she is going to the Post Office and checking on it.
She is also going to send you something else right away. Please don't hate us, she has been away and not near a computer.
I know what it must have been like for her. That is the only thing I don't like about going to WDW. I don't have a laptop so I miss you guys for the time I am away. Peggie

I know how difficult the past month has been and I realize that some things definitely take priority over pin collecting/trading/swaps etc. I just was hoping by my saying what I did in the post we would get some response from the person who had mom.

I am happy to hear there was a reason ( I don't know what the exact reason was but it's not necessary that I do) as I do believe everyone involved in the swap was in it by choice and loves pins as much as the next person.

I would like to say a big thank you to all of you who did post on the board as mom cannot believe the kind words and offers from each of you. I am also happy to know that moms swap person has a receipt and can follow up on the shipped pin. I know it may not replace the actual pin but at least there is a way to track it.

I must say this--neither of us hates anyone or has any ill thoughts. I was just trying to make a point. Also, both of us are looking forward to the next pin swap. This was our first and now have a much better idea how it all works. Take care and thanks much. We will update the board on our return from the cruise. Take care and thanks again.
