Recently at Walt Disney World, I traded with a cast member for a pin only to find out that it is a fake. Should I trade it back to a cast member on my next trip or keep it?

I would just keep it. It happens. If it is not the same CM , then they wont know if if the story is true and if your just trying to rip them off.

We keep them, we use them for push pins or add them to our collection.

If you like it, keep it, otherwise trade it. They are just little pieces of metal, not $100 bills like the ones I print off in my basement! pirate:

I'm sure CM's get dozens of "fake" pins every day. They could care less. I'm sure most of the pins I have are "fake" and I'm told that the ones I buy in bulk on ebay to trade away are "fake" as well. Oh well, as I said it's not like having a fake $100 bill.

I don't like adding to the scrapper problem, but if you feel you must trade it back, you don't have to explain yourself. Just trade it. The CM's don't get "ripped off". They don't pay for their pins. They have to trade them as part of their job.
