Pin Question

My mom got a PIN in the mail. It is for 35% off. Can she give it to me?

No, PINS are specific to the individual named on them. So unless your mom is part of your trip, you cannot use it.

I have a similar question: my ILs have a FD pin. They ARE going with us, but they can only "handle" 4 (MAYBE 5) days of WDW fun. They are happy to use the Pin for us for the 4 or 5 days we overlap but the CM I talked to said they had to be there the exact same days.

Is there anyway around this that does NOT involve doing one reservation for the days they are there and another one when they are not? It isn't a huge difference, but about 2/3 of a plane ticket, which would be great.

FWIW, ALL of the cost of both rooms will be on MY credit card as FIL asked me to just book it so he didn't 'screw it up' -- they've never stayed on property or done dining before and he historically will do goofy things like book flights that arrive at odd times or hotels across town b/c he is a bit of an absent-minded fella. He just gives me the 'keys' and then it is spontaneous to him. (He is a VERY good sport -- he is not a Dis fan, but his wife is, and they want to come see the grandkids, so he is bucking up and 'suffering' for the cause. )

Anyway, similar question re: Pin use for days they aren't actually there. I'm hoping FD gets released for the general public for our dates (my ticker is wrong now...need to fix that) but if not I'd really like to figure out a way to apply the FD pin. (Since we definitely do not have one. Boo!)

Yes, but they may require it to either be in her name or see her ID at check in since it is a pin. If it is a new booking, they'll probably have to book it in her name. If you have a current reservation you could put her on as an additional guest, but if it is a package she'd be getting all tickets and dining credits and you will be charged. Again, they may request her to be there upon check in and if so would bump you back to rack rate if she's not.

It's all just depending upon the CM and they've been buckling down lately on things like this with FD and people putting on phantom guests for more credits, etc.

No, no way around it. Booking multiple rooms with a pin requires they be the same dates/resort. You'd have to do a split stay for the additional days.

Who pays for what has no bearing on anything.
