Pin offer out..covers dates thru 2009

the 40% off rack at WL will probably be better than what you would save in free dining. I would switch it while its still available.

We're not quite sure about that, or at least it would be close. We're paying $240 a night at WL, and with the 40% we'd be saving $96 per night. The dining plan is $78 a night for both of us, but the way that we've planned our TS and CS meals, we will be spending close to $90 in food a day. We wouldn't eat like that if we didn't have the dining plan, but we have never done it before and think it'll be fun - plus we're running the half marathon so we can justify the extra food! So, our net savings would be only $6 per night, if we did choose to use the PIN code. And the convenience of the dining plan more than makes up for that. However, if the released code includes a room discount, it will be a better deal for us.

I'm tempted to call and make a seperate room only reservation for WL (if it's available) and just cancel one of them before the 45 day mark, if a better discount comes out.

Oh, WDW planning. :confused3

I wonder if these will be the dates for the new bounceback expected to come out after the free dining bounceback has expired.

Congrats to everyone who got a pin code!:thumbsup2

I didn't, but still hoping to get one!!pixiedust:

I know this is wildly OT, but since I just registered recently (but have been lurking *forever*) I can't sent PMs! I just noticed your name, GSDRescuer, and by GSD, I assume you're referring to some of the greatest dogs to ever wag a tail. Do you foster? We adopted a GSD from our local rescue in Washington about 6 months ago and are considering getting into fostering. Just wanted to give you a little virtual hand shake for your hard work! :thumbsup2

For those that got the email....I'm curious to know when was the last time you were at the world?

I went twice last year so I'm kind of thinking they have no incentive to offer me anything.

we have a trip booked - no code - so I went and opened a new disney account with a different email - saved 3 trips but didn't book.....hoping it inspires them to send me a code :)

I still seem to have an amazing talet of picking the exact dates that the pin codes are blacked out. I have 6 trips planned for 2009, none near holidays (except MLK week, but knew it would be blackedout). Not a single date of any of my trips are within the discount dates. I've never received a pin code, but have always been offered one when calling.

Since I usually never recieve PIN codes I too had wondered the same thing.

It turns out that I actually did recieve this code and we were last to the World in Dec. '07 and our upcoming trip is in 3 weeks so I don't think that's the case anymore.
Good luck!

we got the passholder pin that we were able to apply to our November trip but I sure hope I get this one too ... we are going May 30 through June 9 and currently have AAA room only resevations ...
Here's some pixi dust for everyone ...

Hi: I have never received an email pin. I check with reservations and they have my email address, and I checked at disneyworld.ca and it is there I receive Disney Insider. Is there somewhere else that I need to register? Also we were there last feb/mar 07. Any ideas where else to register?

Thanks,

Debbie.

Yes, I have fostered. Right now I am a member of the "Foster Failure" Club. This means that I broke down and ADOPTED my last foster!!!:thumbsup2 Since he is not "dog friendly" I am out of the fostering loop right now.
Just a word of warning..............Fosters are very hard to give up:love: ! However, it is very rewarding to know that you "saved a life" and they have gone on to a good home (no matter how hard it is to give them up).:woohoo:

Good luck to you and THANK YOU for adopting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I received the e-mail yesterday and we are in the available dates.

I have my AAA agent looking into tryig to have it applied right now...we have an exiting MYW package reservation for ASmu Family Suite in October...so I'm not sure it will work out, but I'll be sure to let everyone know.

Nobody on this thread has reported successfully activiating this code - anyone??

We were there over Easter week 2008 but stayed off-site and we're from Canada. So I agree with others that the email must generate by ordering the DVD and signing up for newsletters. When staying on property, do they take an email address when you register?

Don't forget the difference with the tax too. You should save about $40 per night doing the discount over the free dining. FYI you can cancel the room only reservation 5 days before arrival without penalty.;)

I'm trying something new this year as we've never received any pin codes or emails with discounts from Disney. So for 2009 we're not booking unless a pin code comes along.

Hi,

We went to WDW in December of 2007 and then we were at DL in June of 2008. I didn't think these emails were ligit so I was deleting them!! Thank goodness for Disboards!:worship:

We are going during the March dates. Hopefully they will send us a code. I am not sure where all to sign up for newsletters and things so I will keep my fingers crossed.

Hmmmm...I've never received the code and I just plunked down a ton of money when I went to the Pin Celebration in September...and I'm signed up with them on the Insider, fill out the sweepstakes daily right now...waaah.

What's the subject header for the email so I don't delete it as spam???

I think your logic is a bit off with what you'd be saving. You're paying $240/night now for the room plus $78/night for DDP or $318/night. If you got the 40% off you'd be paying $144/night for the room plus $90 out of pocket for dining or a total of $234/night. You would save $84/night.

Disney won't let you book more than 1 reservation for the same dates.
