Pin Help for a Newbie?!

Hi there!

We have never booked our own resort before, we usually go through a TA. However after a bad experience with our TA this year (we arrived at Port Orleans to discover the TA had cancelled the booking 10 days before ) we have decided to book next years trip ourselves!

I am always reading trip reports where people have various discount codes, and pin codes. How and where do you get them from? I have never been offered one, even after about 8 visits to the World!

Pin codes are sent out randomly and no one knows for sure how Disney decides who gets them and who does not.

The best advice is to register for everything Disney. Go on their website and price out vacations, sign up for alerts, etc.

I have been going to WDW almost every year since 1994, and we have never gotten a pin code, not once. My SIL that traveled with us a few times, has, but never us.

Now that I own DVC, I don't have to worry about it but it certainly was frustrating that some people get them all the time and others never do!!!
