You can get a shadow box at a craft store to display your pins. A lot of people use frames as well but you want to make sure the pins don't get scratched.
Make sure whatever you use has some sort of thick backing if your going to push the pins through or the backs could scratch up you walls. Cork works great!
I recently purchased 3 fairly large shadow boxes, from Michaels, to hold most of my pins. I hung the boxes so they can be seen by my guests when they come into my home.
We buy the cases from AC Moore or Michaels, for around $22 with the coupons......We currently have, drum roll, 14 cases hanging on our walls...They make different sizes, the smaller case has the 2nd series piece of history set in it....They really work great!

To place the pins I made a base of styrofoam and sheet of cork covered with a piece of black velvet. The frames is opened as a door to be able to place or to change the pins.
