Pin Display case

Before the pin cases were discounted I thought about getting one but the price was too high so I ended up making my own and now I'm glad I did, especially after hearing about all the flaws that they have. Mine turned out great, was a fraction of the cost and looks perfect hanging on my wall.

I feel lucky my seven were in good shape except the two with minor etching flaws on Pluto that I plan to fix. I had planned on buying some frames from Indian River something something but stil they would have been 30-40.00 and not have the Mickey/Pluto icons so at 59.00 less 10% I am happy with mine. One has a small flaw on the wood but I'm very picky about woods & grains and will search through stacks and stacks of items at stores to find those that are "just right" but all in all for luck of the draw on the shipment of these I'm pretty happy.

Hello,

I realize this is a blast from the past but does anyone have any pics of these cases? My daughter and I have our pins in cases and are thinking about hanging them on the wall if we can find a nice case or 2.

And roughly, how many pins can you fit in one case. I realize pins are different sizes. An average size pin let's say.

I will have to post a photo later, I ended up keeping all 3. One has some of my pins in it. One my daughter used, and I threw it out recently, it became more damaged from her abuse. The 3rd one is still in the original box. I was going to ebay it, but I have some concerns about packaging it, with the door made of glass and all.

I took a couple pictures of my pin display case last night. It’s 16”x16”x3” deep. We used anti-glare glass and I had my friend make me a stain glass Mickey for the center. The pins in the middle are all the resorts I’ve stayed at starting with my first trip at the 12:00 position continuing clockwise to my most recent hotel stay at about the 11:00 position. My pins along the bottom are my transportation and year pins, the rest are some of my more favorite. Good luck finding a display case.

Here is the Disney pin case discussed here. The one made by another poster looks nicer. Excuse the cat, she would not stop walking in the frame. The pin in the center came with the case.
