I keep getting pin codes in my personal email. I recently inquired about one but when I plug in my info it says my name doesn't match the pin offer. I called about it as well and I am getting no where. Can someone tell me how I can go about fixing this? I want to be able to access the pin in my email!!! Thanks~!

If it is in your name but the system isn't recognizing your information as it being associated with the pin, I'd call and ask to speak with a supervisor. If they say they can't do anything, offer to fax it to them or forward the email to a supervisor so they can look at it. Good luck and I hope everything works out and it's a discount you can use.

This happened to me last week.. a pin code was sent to me twice and wasn't under my name. I called after the second time and was told that the name it WAS attached was not a guest in their system and the name did not have a profile of any kind in their system. They said they would approve it for me, but my TA needed to do it since I was booked with them. She calls and they were extremely reluctant and said I never had this conversation with them earlier (I did! I was not lying) and that the name was not under mine. I don't want to mislead you and tell you that they will let you use it... they really did not want to give it to me but did as a one time courtesy only after my TA told them that it is frustrating getting multiple pin codes directly to my email and not being able to use them. It really depends on who you talk to. When I called the first time and asked about it, they were going to approve it and let me use it with no problem at all but when my TA called, they were very hesitant and I almost was not able to use it. She finally got a very nice CM on the line and she was very helpful with the switch.

They let me use it for mine and my sisters room and we were able to switch from Pop to POFQ w/ free dining! Seems like Disney needs to fix this because more and more people are getting pins that aren't attached to their names.

In 2007 I booked and paid for a room for my dad and gave my email since he didn't have an email at the time. Ever since then all pin offers that come to my email are for my dad. I've called a couple times, some CMs say I absolutely cannot use the pin, others say its OK. No one has any idea how to fix it.

They used to allow people to use a pin as long as their address was the same that the pin was sent to. Now, they are cracking down on it and are way more strict than ever before. But like I said earlier, it really depends on who you talk to when you call.

This happened before to me. I got a pin, and when I plugged it into the website it says that none of my information matched the pin. WEIRD. It was for dates I'm not going, but I just was curious about the savings with a pin and wanted to see the final costs. I hope this isn't a sign of things to come with late fall pins. SIGH.

FWIW, I've had my current email address for 8+ years, and have had people mistakenly giving out my email address as their own and/or people write down an email address wrong so it comes to me by mistake.

I live in the U.S., but get tons of emails for the Scottish National Museum and Body Shop UK addressed to "Ashley" (not my name), notifications of credit card statement availability addressed to someone not my name (cards I don't have), etc. The worst is at the holidays, I get into these group emails with people about what food they're bringing, and any time I say "you have the wrong email for Ann," someone goes nuts and accuses me of "hacking her account." :rotfl2: It's just weird.

Anyway, if someone gives out their email address wrong, or it is transcribed wrong, it is possible that you are receiving email pins that really are intended for some other person.

Thanks everyone. I emailed them and they asked for the pin code and my info so they can find out what the issue is. Of course it is a pin I can't use because it is for dates when I am not traveling but I need my info fixed so that if one comes across that I can use I will be all set!

Maybe you should just volunteer to bring something really nice :rotfl2:

I had a PIN sent to my email but in my dads name and address. When i hit the ok to make sure the details are correct, and looked for a room it brought up my info. So i booked it. I called and told them what happened and as a 'one time courtesy' they let me keep it

I have had several emails back and forth and they cannot come up with a reason as to why it keeps doing that. They told me to call. I will wait and see if a pin comes that I can use....fingers crossed.

When I called about a pin one time the gal told me that the PIN could come to my email or mail but may be attached to a family member's name. For example, my husband sometimes uses my email so it is possible for me to get a PIN in my email but has his name attached to it. Call and try your husband's name or any kids you may have over the age of 18.

It's happened to me twice in the past year.

The PIN code comes to my email, with my name on it. But when I call to inquire, it's not in the computer, and apparently isn't meant for me or for anyone else in my household.

Fortunately, the Summer Special worked out to be almost a 35% discount (30 %off deluxes, then an additional 5% for staying more than 6 nights.) So I'm OK with missing out on the PIN code-- it would have been less saved, and wouldn't apply to my brother in law and sister in law and their families, who are all joining us.

I did call, and they made a note of it on my account. But Im not sure it won't happen again.
