PIN Codes When?

Still learning the ropes, so please be patient! I think I understand PIN codes and how they work. But how far in advance are they sent out? Have there already been some for that last two weeks of August? Is there a chance we could still get some?

And on that note, any suggestions on how to better your chances of getting one? I've requested the DVD. I've signed up for e-mails. I've gone through the vacation packages to the point of selecting everything and then not buying online. I have a Disney account. What else can I do? We also vised in 2007, 2010, and 2011--all during the last week of August.

It sounds like to me you are doing everything right. I keep getting the current pin offer via email (received it three times via email and once snail mail) and I am guessing it's because I am always playing around with the website and getting quotes for vacations and not booking. Just keep at it!!

PS - we want to go next January and I am quoting prices now to get an idea of what I need to save hopefully for the future. :)

I keep checking that mailbox for an end of August pin. I know there will probably be the RO discount, but I sure would love free dining. In fact my DS brought me the mail yesterday and said, "nothing from Disney." I have him trained well. It does sound like you've done everything you can. Let's all just keep wishing. Good luck to you.

Well, since Disney doesn't want to offer Free Dining to the general public for the end of August, I think a Free Dining PIN for that time would be perfect! They could control how many they allow and who gets them. And I want to be first in line for that PIN!

Now...how do I convince Disney this would work????

:rolleyes1

I don't have an AP or Disney VISA but I do get about one a year in the mail. Generally, it's after I go online to the Disney website and start pricing out different dates and resorts. I got one today for stays from 4/28 to 8/14 which would be much earlier than the dates I am checking out. I was last there in 2010 and spent a bunch of money though. I think that they think I need to come more often

Would you be willing to share the details of the PIN you received for 4/28 through 8/14? Also when did you receive it and was it via email?

It was an envelope with a little booklet I got in the mail. The pin was on the envelope and the instructions to redeem were in the booklet. Basically it was for a discounted package based on double occupancy. Book resort and tickets for 5 nights/6 days and save as follows:

At least $125 for Value Resorts
At least $250 for Moderate
At least $550 for Deluxe
At least $650 for Resort Villas

This brings the price of the package down to what it would be for a less crowded time of year.

I am not familiar with pins either. We have booked our week already. Do you ever get pins after you book?
