Just my little rant for the night........ Why do you think Disney promotes "codes" that are not available for the general public? Just like the infamous 40% code that they offered last year. I was one of the lucky ones that was able to have it applied to my reservation, but it took me like ten calls to get that discount.

My guess is to keep people coming back. I don't think PIN codes are offered to anyone who a) does not have a reservation in the system, or b) has never been to Disney before. You have to be registered with Disney to get them, which is where they get your email/snail mail address from. You've shown an interest in going to Disney, they want to make sure you get there. My profile said that I was planning a trip in Jan 2008, and I got a few pins this year trying to get me to come earlier. As much as they want to drum up new business, return customers are a better investment. If they can use less advertising dollars and still fill up their resorts, then they will do it that way. That's just my guess
