Pin Code - Free Dining 9/28 - 10/11

Youll have to call disney and see if youre listed under her "household" If you are then you can use her pin without her going.

I just got off the phone with reservations and asked if I was eligible for the free dining.... I saw someone else on the boards got the free dining without the pin code (!?!)..... reservations told me that I didnt have an offer but if I asked someone that did have an offer for the code that I could use it!?? I thought the code was just good for the person issued it but she told me they would do anything to help us save money but they did need a code.....

Noone got free dining without a pin code and the person you talked to was an idiot then. You cant use someone elses pincode.

I find that hard to believe!!! A little while ago,I was told by a snooty CM that if I can get a code to work on the internet site & not with him to just "go do it yourself!!"

Well, my sister-in-law lives in MS so she's not in my household & her last name is different than mine! Do I correct the email??? I do receive other info from Disney at my email, so I don't know why the confusion. Perhaps I'll call tomorrow & find out exactly what I can & cannot do. If I'm told anything interesting, I'll post it!

OK... I was told since I'm the one who usually books the vacations, that's the reason my name was on the email. Since my name was on it, she could not book the vacation. I would need to to that. No explanation as to why it went to her email. Updated those things. I don't know if it's a savings. Total for myself for 1park/day ticket & staying @ POP for 3 nights would be $354 without insurance. That sounds too high! The one day ticket is $75, right? If I figured it out right confused3 ) it should be around $264???? Don't know! The ticket can be upgraded to AP when mine expires. My DSIL's would be $431 for the 2 of them.

You had a pin attached to your household then and the CM applied it to your res. Im saying you cant just call and have a pin applied thats not your pin.

and pin codes can NOT be used online because they have to be verified that they are YOURS

Yeah, I figured there was something attached with my name, but here's another question.
Why did I get $270.76 off? The basic dining plan for 2 adults for 7 nights is more than that...I wonder where this amount came from?
I saved $396 earlier, so if you add that with the $270 would that be the amount of the dining plan??

Basically yes. Before you probably got the general available code. Now you got the free dining discount, but you can't stack them. So you are now paying rack rate on the MYW package but get free dining.

Yes, I just called to check if we had codes assigned to our names and the CM insisted the free dining code was only for the next 2 weeks, not valid during our stay (Nov. 9-15). Not that I have a code anyway, but she was adament there was no code available for free dining in Nov. or Dec.

There are codes but theyre very limited for nov/dec. They have no reason to talk about them if you dont have a code

Ok so let me see if I understand this..... I am really disappointed that I didn't receive a pin code for free dining, we are going 10/4-10/11.... we DID get the QXG discount code for magic your way, staying at CSR standard view, 2 adults, w/ dining plan, and just a 1 day base ticket (already have tickets)- for $1465, and without the discount code, it would have cost $1984, saving us $519 (yippee!!!) ..... but it looks like the previous poster is saying that if I had gotten the pin code for free dining, that I would have lost the QXG discount, received the rack rate of $1452, which would be the charge of my package minus the dining plan?? So I am really only bummed over $13?!?!? Or would I have gotten the MYW discount PLUS free dining saving me over $500???

Is this with trip insurance or without? In my experience, the automatically give you the price with insurance included.

EDIT: Nevermind, I missed where you had already answered that question, sorry. LOL

@ Jenna319: yes, if you had gotten the free dining code and wanted to use it, you would forfeit your previous discount. Under normal circumstances, you can only have one discount, they cannot be combined.

for me, the difference is $413.60 between the discounted package vs. free dining. Over 8 nights, I think we'll spend more than $413 on food. Unfortunately, I have NOT gotten an email PIN.

I think people got PINS that were for different dates...

The email I got only stated the dates of 9/28 - 10/11.... so I am guessing that not everyone was given the same dates for their offers... some got all the dates and some only got specific dates?

Hence why people might be getting different stories from the CM's?
